So let's say that the map ends up looking like this one, from the Princeton site

See below - except we will color in NC. What do we think will happen over time - we know that the Demographics are working against republicans. So if we continue to run strong Dem candidates, the map will likely keep looking like this - maybe NC will flop back and forth, but I can only seeing it getting bluer.

Is Arizona next? Beyond that (maybe Indiana, maybe Missouri) - is this going to be the picture of the polarization in the country for the coming decades? Pretty amazing sight, really.....all sorts of interesting implications. Just musing on a Monday afternoon....

Obama is an exceptional candidate. I don't we have seen any other politician since Clinton who could have won against the media advantage that the right wing has. And I'm not even sure Clinton could have won against the money advantage Citizen's United gives.

So don't get too cocky. The plutocrats control the Supreme Court. They control most of the media. They control almost all of the money. They control the districting in most states. They control the election process in most states.

The question isn't whether Republicans can win in the future. They question is if we will ever have another chance like this one.

looking like these - or over time, do they even start turning more blue as the demographics work against the "old racist bigoted white guys" on the right that turn lots of the red states red?
