In truth, the VP's job is to carry a swing state or anchor a weak region. Maryland isn't really either. It will go D in the GE regardless.
He is reasonable, principled man. I think he'd do well heading an initiative as Secretary.

(9,314 posts)I was sitting here trying to figure out how O'Malley should respond. Obviously, this was a "feeler" question trying to make O'Malley publicly say which he preferred Clinton or Sanders. I thought O'Malley should say to his supporters, start talking to convince people here why I am their best choice and ask them to join you in caucusing for me.
Still, that was really, really bad form to ask such a question of O'Malley in this townhall.

(130 posts)I'm still going to caucus for Bernie, but I must admit he did very well and I hope to see more from him as time goes on.
My wife and I both liked his comments if he is un-viable at caucus. That said, you can't "hold strong" if you are below the viability threshold. That said, to ask someone to define where people should go isn't a question I would want to answer either.
