Romney is just as in the bubble as McCain was...

I really do believe Romney thinks he's going to win and it's probably because he's being fed bullshit lines and not the truth. No, I don't think they're making up polls, but I do believe they're telling him not to worry because of a wide range of reasons and because of it, he's seriously not worried. The same thing happened with McCain, who was convinced he'd win until I think the final hours of the campaign. That's how cut off from the outside world they are and it's rare ... because even most losing candidates realize they're going down to defeat.

I'm sure Mondale knew, a week before the election, he wasn't going to beat Reagan. I'm guessing Dole felt the same in '96 with Clinton.

But Romney? I really believe he's convinced himself he's going to win this. To be a fly on the wall come November!

But they might strap 20 or 30 dogs to the tops of their various Cadillacs and other luxury vehicles and drive them around just to torture something.

I think he does know he's going to lose, and lose big.
And I think that's part of why he's acting like such a freaking idiot.
He knows he's gotta put up with this shit for 6 more weeks, and the pressure of trying to keep a happy face is driving him batty.

He knows he has to at least appear in the debates like he thinks he's going to win, even though he knows he's not.

My 2cents...
