Mayor Bill de Blasio Set to Campaign for Hillary Clinton in Iowa

Mayor Bill de Blasio of New York City plans to travel to Iowa this weekend to campaign in support of Hillary Clinton, his fellow Democrat and former boss, in the final days of her close race against Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont in the state’s presidential caucuses.

Mr. de Blasio, who endorsed Mrs. Clinton in the fall after withholding his blessing for months, is not a widely known quantity in the Midwestern state. But the leftleaning mayor could bolster her liberal bona fides as she tries to head off Mr. Sanders, an independent who identifies himself as a Democratic socialist.

The mayor intends to leave New York on Friday, accompanied by his wife, Chirlane McCray, and a contingent of City Hall aides. Mr. de Blasio and Ms. McCray will pay their own expenses, and the mayor’s aides will be volunteering for Mrs. Clinton’s campaign outside of their official government duties.

because of her personality. It's best to let things happen as they happen.

Hillary's policies do not respond to the problems of our time. That's the sum total of this primary.
