Since November, Bill Clinton's approval rating has sunk to 39%

It’s Still Bill Clinton, but the Old Magic Seems Missing

MASON CITY, Iowa — Bill Clinton came to the vote-rich city of Mason City on Wednesday night and recounted his wife’s life experiences, recited her policy ideas, and ripped into the Republicans a bit. But what Mr. Clinton used to do so well — and what Hillary Clinton needs, only days before the Iowa caucuses on Monday — was nowhere to be found: a polished, piercing critique of an opponent, in this case Bernie Sanders.

<snip>

Nationally, however, Mr. Clinton’s favorability rating has fallen since he became more visibly active in Mrs. Clinton’s campaign, according to a New York Times/CBS News poll. Thirty-nine percent of all Americans viewed him favorably in the mid-January poll, compared to 50 percent in a similar survey in early November.

Over that time, Mr. Trump has tried to make an issue out of Mr. Clinton’s sexual history and stir unease among some Americans about Mr. Clinton returning to the White House. The Clintons have mostly chosen not to respond to his attacks.

including a Hillary Logo Pin at the neckline speaking at rally for her. Reportedly he and Chelsea will be doing rallies all over Iowa this weekend and have prepared a victory celebration with all three members together (and, I assume baby Charlotte) for Monday night.

I still say he doesn't look well and his voice has weakened, but the sweater brightened him up a bit. He should ditch those "end of the nose" reading glasses, though.

The poll numbers might reflect his ageing compared to what most people remember of him.

I agree that she'll be there because everyone loves little ones and it softens her majesty's image. But they wouldn't want her to be cranky from being up too late.

It has to do with something that I think is a factor in the primary and will be even more of one in the general. Call it Clinton Fatigue if you wish. Americans do not want to see Bill back in the White House.

But, maybe they calculated it was better to get him out there now for reaction than to wait until further along. Also it signifies they are running as a team and that might give her a boost.

So far Bill's behavior as President (plus his Deregulation Policies/NAFTA, etc.) hasn't become a factor in the MSM's reporting. I suspect that's because "The Donald" has sucked all the air out of scandals and OTT personal behavior being important to the average voter these days. People will be used to ANYTHING by the time this election is over. And, that also gives Bill better creds on the campaign trail working for Hillary and their future Co-Presidency.

That was my very first thought on reading this article - it's gotta be the dreaded CFS - Clinton Fatigue Syndrome.

Seriously tho, it's time for the Clintons and particularly the Bushes to just dry up and blow away, they had their turns and they all blew it.

and I had a similar moment. We were talking about the time my dad's toupee flew off on a busy city street and I was laughing and then all of the sudden crying. I guess I was a big old faker too. Your post is too disgusting for words. Using Rush fucking Limbaugh. I really thought I had seen all the low down, bullshit the Bernie Bro brigade could bring. But frankly, you really have reached the bottom of the well. I can't wait for your candidate to lose and lose big.
