Hillary doesn't need to win Iowa is the new talking point.
I would say it differently. Iowa and the rest of the nation don't need Hillary to win Iowa or anything else. Just the opposite. |

If Clinton loses then she deals with the media for a few weeks talking about crash and burn. Then she goes on to demographically friendly states in March and cleans up.
If Sanders loses, he's toast. He's toast anyway but a loss puts any Super Tuesday win way out of reach. It's do or die time for Sanders. |

5. I think you mean O'Malley. He really does need to win Iowa.
Sanders can lose so long as he makes a race of it. He will win New Hampshire and then we will need to see how things shape up for Nevada. It would be very helpful for Bernie to win Iowa, but he still has a path without it. |
