not unlike the Triceratops, it is doubtful that the Democratic Party...

has any inkling that it (in its current DLC/Third Way/RepublicanLite™ form) knows that it is about to become extinct...

its attempt at survival by cross-breeding with the Corporate/RW/Repub power bases will prove, in the end, to have been unsuccessful...

IT IS TIME FOR THE AGE OF THE NEW MAMMALS...

I have a feeling there's going to be more than a few gobsmacked people tomorrow night! I can't wait to watch the spin!

Extinct they will be! The Democratic Party really exposed itself this election cycle. Now the entire country knows just how corrupt they are! Their 29% support is going to PLUMMET. They will never survive after their horrendous display of complete and total disdain of Progressives /TRUE Liberals....the very people who have kept them viable! That viability is now gone. They have effed up big time.

the Party is up for grabs, but it may be that there really isn't too much to grab and take back (damn, that sounds almost Teapartyish)...

the Party leadership, since the days leading up to Bill Clinton's election, has engineered the triangulation of the progressive/liberal base into a fairly powerless position...and like Reaganomics, it is coming home to roost...

the Party will need to be re-invented, or maybe that should be re-structured, and though that must happen at the very bottom it will take new leadership to guide and invigorate the people...

we have so little to work with currently for the leadership the Party needs...

it says way too much about the state of the Democratic Party that an Independent has too step up and actually rally the real Dems...

a hybrid Right wing Dem/Semi Normal (not the Teabaggers) Repub combo party. Neither can survive with the support numbers they have. Repubs are even worse than Dems @ 26%. Neither can survive independently. They either fall into the dust bins of history or join forces. Their politics are so closely aligned, it would take minimal tweaking of a platform to have a hybrid THIRD WAY party.

The voters are awake. Bernie has opened their eyes to just how corrupt our government is. I don't see this movement going away anytime soon. We, the 99%, can stand together to fight through any setbacks and failures that come our way...especially with a strong, dependable, trustworthy, honest and ETHICAL leader like Bernie Sanders. We can do this!

I have already seen a ton of articles punditsplaining that it won't make any difference if Bernie wins in Iowa.

I've even seen - it won't matter if he wins Iowa, NH, Nevada and South Carolina because HRH has a "SOUTHERN FIREWALL" that can't be penetrated. Riiiiiight! Just like that SC firewall that couldn't be penetrated! Bernie's numbers just keep going UP in SC. Their goalposts are malleable! They keep stretching across the country.

What's happening is that the GOP is self destructing, and the Democratic Party is moving over to suck up the money of the establishment guys, leaving no political representation of liberalism or progressivism.

has had it figured that the thing to do was replace the Republican Party...not oppose it...but replace it by assimilation and osmosis...

which, in the long run, leaves a power vacuum (it seems like the Republican/RepublicanLite™ folks cannot avoid vacuums) that should present opportunities for progressives and liberals to actually establish a power base....

and re-establish the DEMOCRATIC PARTY as the party of, and better, FOR the people...
