(6,994 posts)when Walmart spent millions to spread their anti-union message, fought to keep their emplyee's from organizing and fired employees (and got away with it) that were pushing for a Union Shop,Hillary just stood by, did nothing and praised Walmart for being a great employer.
Then she begged for Union support and Union Executive Councils rewarded her..(Not the General Membership) the Exec Councils.

(442 posts)You see, i can name 25 positions/votes that secretary clinton has taken from foreign policy (iwr vote, push for regime change in Libya, hawkishness on syria, etc) to domestic policy (support for nafta, her 180 on health care, support for the tpp and keystone xl, etc) that preclude me from being able to support her in good conscience. Personally, I'd rather go with the guy that got it right 99% of the time .
uponit7771
(90,370 posts)... immigration along his pixy dust politics where he has no real practical answers on getting past legislation he has chided others on for not "fighting" for.... that's not only principle but its plan too...
After Sanders SP plan out with no outline on how he's going to get the medical industry to accept half of what they're makin now it looks like Sanders has been sitting on the sidelines throwing rocks...
Seeing his implementation is no better than what we have now...
He also is going to lead a revolution with too many asterisks by it, I don't see where Sanders coalition is reaching the poor... most of the poor support Hillary and most well off dems support Sanders...
I have a list but no... not just one issue... and Hillary getting right 85% of the time in the past and 97% right today doesn't mean I'm going to try something slightly better with an unknown chance of winning.
I can't afford to take that chance

(58,724 posts)But on a message board that is explicitly devoted to the cause of helping to get Democrats elected, it is a little strange to encounter the term "evil" being applied to a leading Democratic candidate for president. To me, that seems a step beyond merely advocating for a preferred primary candidate and criticizing the positions of the opposing one.

(16 posts)Supporting candidate H to the GE becomes an election that America as a whole would think it's a vote for the lesser of two evils. Face it supporting DINOs have been more destructive to the party than some dispute on a forum with said title. It's time to start giving these politicians one shot at office to prove they will vote for the parties platform.
Today's democrats are the good cops that go along with the bad cops as they murder, kidnap and imprison civilians then help them cover up.

(58,724 posts)I feel like that distinguishes the people who want to genuinely have a debate about our candidates versus just demonizing the one that they don't like. That is the difference between using a reasonable word like "selfish" and a ridiculous one like "evil" to describe these actions.
Lets remove the word evil and insert conservative. Please rebate how the above points reflect the democratic wanted platform.

(15,445 posts)Actually, my "hyperbole/exaggeration" reference was obliquely intended not for you, but for the OP. Use of the noun "evil" in this context is a flagrant distortion.
Pedophilia is evil--pedophiles do evil.
The Paris terrorists were evil--they did evil.
Egregious epithet flinging adds nothing to the discussion.

Here's another appropriate Orwell allusion:

(8,660 posts)By that same logic, I guess Bernie is a saint because no Boards of Directors would have him. He's untainted because no one would pay to hear him speak. He's pure because he has so few endorsements among his peers. He's not part of 'pay for play' because he does not raise money for other Democratic candidates. He's not corrupt as he has no charitable foundation.

Because of the destabilization of the whole region because of the decimation of Iraq and Libya, arming 'rebels' in Syria, little children are washing up on beaches. The boats their parents tried to get them to safety with weren't really that great with distance and accuracy.

(1,197 posts)I'm not sure the Bernie Supporters who dig up dirt and misinterpret actions of other candidates can survive him not being the nominee. It's scary that they are so intent on spreading their interpretation of Hillary stories that spewing the word evil is the only thing they know to do to try to raise support for their candidate. Where is the itemized list of wonderful things Bernie has done? It's a sad day in the Democratic party, and in America. They never should have allowed Bernie to register as a Democrat after all these years. It's been a very dividing thing for the party. He should have run under the Independent title. That's what he is, that's how he should have run. Why did he feel the need to pretend after all these years? One thing he has done successfully is tear the party to shreds, at least on this forum.

(39,909 posts)However, turning her back on the majority of Democrats, and helping Bush and the Republicans get their illegal, immoral, and unnecessary WAR started was. Thousands upon thousands of brown people were slaughtered with her help, and millions more displaced.
She was a primary instrument in the destruction of Libya, once the most advanced country in North Africa with many freedoms for women...own property, drive cars, carry their own money, walk freely about town without a male escort, wear blue jeans, attend Universities....but NOT anymore.
the Al Qaeda linked terrorists that Hillary helped in Libya have now imposed Sharia Law.
Hillary claims to be an advocate for women, but she hasn't helped any brown women in the Middle East. She has helped kill them, take their homes, bury their children, and bomb them back to the medieval times of Sharia Law.
Now THAT is what I call evil.
