2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumNow my candidate is out..
I have no one to fight for.
In 2008 I was so hyped up for the election. I was fighting for both our candidates (Hill & Obama).
Now...
...it sucks.
Guess I'll stay on Twitter and make fun of the Repukes.
I will vote for the eventual nominee.

(20,043 posts)when it came to message boards. I was on a mixed board and argued with repukes. So I defended them. I wasn't here back then.
I'm undecided who I'm going to vote for.
I voted for Obama in 08. But I never spoke against Hillary. I don't do that. I won't speak against our candidates.
Maybe GD I can make fun of the republicans there.

(26,549 posts)You picked your candidate based on a set of policies. Those policies still exist, and you should continue to fight for them.

(26,549 posts)Policy isn't about individual candidates, or even about parties.
I'm not supporting Sanders because I like the guy. I'm supporting Sanders because he supports more of the policies I fight for.
And if Sanders loses, I'm still going to be fighting for those policies regardless of the party affiliation of the people opposing them. Lieberman doesn't get a pass for killing the public option just because he had a D after his name at the time.
No matter what happens to the people or the parties, the fight for policy continues.
