there are a number of gun manufacturers and lovers in NH who probably feel more secure with Sanders. Who really knows, or cares, what happened 8 years ago?

I lost a sister to a gun. I've lost many family members and friends due to ginned up wars.

You're right, I don't have to agree with you. I'll take Bernie Sanders. I'm sick to death of neo-cons/liberals and their disaster politics.

Tue Feb 9, 2016, 01:39 PM

59. He called it a virtual tie

when he lost by .25% (according to the latest count) and probably won the actual popular vote, though that is not how the Iowa Democratic Caucus is counted. I do believe that is a more accurate characterization than calling an 8 or 9 point loss a win.

99. To be fair, Sanders called a .25 point loss a "virtual tie" and that they would get roughly the same

number of delegates. It is 23-21 as of now, but will likely change at the later caucuses.

And she has 93% of elected Democrats in New Hampshire endorsing her. At some point you have to say a loss is a loss.

and I thought Hillary was *supposed* to take Iowa and Bernie NH.

I could have sworn all the yammer was about how much of a lead Bernie had in NH. Vise versa for Hillary in Iowa.

I wasn't trying to be smart or anything. I really thought that's what they'd been reporting.

I will search DU see what I can find.

54. Iowa was considered a toss-up going into caucus day. Bernie's expected to win NH,

but the projected margin has varied wildly, as if someone's trying to re-set expectations by claiming HRC will lose badly and declare anything better than that to be a "win". Sounds like Hillary will be saying it's a win for her even if Bernie wins by 9 points.

and that was this past week.

She was up 56 a year ago this week. Against a guy in his own backyard. But I am told to discount it because people hadn't started "campaigning yet". Which makes her campaign sound even worse, that once it started people actually understood what was really going on.

50. Most New Hampshire voters had not heard of Bernie Sanders prior to this campaign.

Hillary Clinton was winning New Hampshire by large margins up until August of 2015. A huge number of voters who were planning on voting for Clinton were convinced to change their votes to Sanders. That is the reality.

I saw someone asking her that exact question earlier, and she sidestepped into some vague answer about it being a 'great day for democracy'. Somebody on her campaign must have felt that sort of reply wasn't helpful and suggested she embrace the spin the media wanted to put on it.

The ground she's lost is on her. There's no reason, none, to state that Bernie should be winning by 40 points. There's an excellent OP in GDP explaining why the "home field" advantage is utter nonsense.

Hillary's losing NH because she blew it. Arguing that she's somehow won by not losing as badly as she might have otherwise is laughable.

Just like she announced victory before the count was done IA. Will they manipulate so she can count victory again if she lost by single digits. I do not trust the voting methods. Enough money can get people to change things. That's why this system needs to end and a new era of fairness needs to begin. No more mass money in elections.
