No Contraception? OK. No Sex Until this B/S Ends.

Last edited Thu Feb 16, 2012, 09:17 PM - Edit history (2)

I am at my boiling point here. And I don't even have ovaries left.

I have MEN posting on my FB page in defense of this garbage.. defending "aspirin between the knees", defending the "all male panel". So fine. I'm sick of arguing about it.

It would take exactly ONE WEEK to put this argument to rest.

No contraception? No sex. Let's show them what a Real Voting Bloc can do.

Enough already.

"Our bodies are their battlefield. Let's just put our bodies out there, because it was just about at that point in time, all of us, the mind-set was we need to do something to change the situation if our children must live in this country." - Leymah Gbowee, Winner of Nobel Peace Prize.

Gbowee, who now works for the Accra, Ghana-based Women Peace and Security Network Africa, played a key role in ending the Liberian war by forming a group of Christian and Muslim women who held daily protests. At one point, the women organized a "sex strike" to underscore their anger about continuing violence.

have anyone to deprive right now, but I'd sure be sleeping alone if I did.

We'd see the men in this country walk this back so quickly it'd make their weenies shrivel up.

in the U.S. who was being "wrongfully" deprived of sex by his wife or partner started calling these a**wipes in Washington - or if even sympathetic GOP males started calling to walk this stuff back. It'd be a powerful thing.

7. Neither of our Senators support this Bull Crap (Dems from NJ)

but our Repub House Rep has been silent on the issue. In all seriousness, my DH sent all 3 an e-mail talking about my dangerous pregnancies, how his wife (yours truly) lost so much blood during a miscarriage that I almost died, leaving him and my 4 y.o son in the waiting room contemplating life as a widower / orphan, and how birth control is essential in keeping both our marriage and my body healthy.

He thanked our Senators for standing strong and invited our Rep to do so as well (fat chance, but what the hell).

I agree with your sentiment that we need to encourage our brothers, sons, fathers and spouses to be as vocal on this as we are. If they love us, they will speak out on our behalf as much as we'd speak out on theirs.

Maybe that will make those overgrown boys grow up and act like men for a change.

Caveat: the guy has to be a repuke, if you're unfortunate enough to be involved with one.

Amazing that such a play could appear in Ancient Greece, a society that was as patriarchal as the Taliban (the Middle-Eastern tradition of making women wear veils originated in Ancient Greece, BTW).

I'm all for it. The perfect contraception to so many republicans is to abstain. Great idea!!! Start a facebook page or what?
