Joy Reid on MSNBC just said that Bernie is not a Democrat.

And Robert Reich admitted that not raising interest rates under the Clinton administration helped create the Clinton boom.

And both of them clearly are in the Bernie corner.

With friends like these...

She is Clinton backer.

She just said they both agree on $15 minimum wage. What propaganda!

He has only claimed to be a Democrat in April 2015...He had 40 years at least to come aboard but never felt the need until he needed the power if the Party to run for President.... He has never contributed, campaigned or participated in any Democratic Leadership roles, ever...I agree with Joy.

And a lot of lifelong dems feel that way. I don't give a crap what he calls himself, I care what he believes. And the New Dem/Third Way/Wall Street coddlers who smack him for not being a party member..can go to hell.

It is all semantics.. If party membership in spite of ideology matters to you, then he gets slammed. But if he is a traditional progressive dem in ideology who worked outside of the party to keep the flame of our ideas alive (as the party was taken over by the corporatists) then we should welcome him now, and a lot of us do with enthusiasm.

Maybe you would prefer he run as a third party candidate? But then you would be whining about how he cost Hillary the election. Its says a lot about his character. He didn't want a repeat of 2000. I doubt Hillary would of done the same. Thank him later.

Great policies which ended the Gilded Age and transformed the country and how we are back in a Gilded Age and need another FDR....

But it isn't Bernie because he's a socialist.

I'd just started listening to them again too. Back to podcasts for me.

Everytime Hillary or her surrogates go after Bernie on this you shoot yourselves in the foot.
All of us who stayed in the party, and advocated for, contributed to, and are a large part of the activist base of the party but share the New Deal/ progressive thinking that Bernie champions..are having enough of this. For thirty-five years we've been told we have nowhere else to go...and at some point some may say..if Bernie isn't a Dem, than neither are we. My gut tells me that this attack on Bernie is just one more thing that will blow up in Hillary's face. If she get's the nomination, she may turn around and see who fell into line, and that line may have a lot of holes in it..
