Robert Reich: Bernie's Economic Plan Can Get Us to 3.8% Unemployment

Robert Reich: Yes, Bernie Sanders’ Plan Can Get Us to 3.8% Unemployment

Hugh Wharton | February 25, 2016

Former Clinton Labor Secretary Robert Reich says an optimistic analysis of Bernie Sanders’ economic plan is perfectly sound.

Bernie Sanders’ domestic plans, including a Medicare-for-all plan and massive infrastructure spending increases, came under attack after an independent study praising the plan was widely shared. The study stated Sanders’ plans would raise the median income by $22,000 and bring unemployment down to 3.8%, among other eye-popping statistics.

If we think big, roll up our sleeves and get to work, we'll make big things happen.

rather than people going wanting of jobs.

A world where we welcomed robots to make us more stuff to enjoy. And, we all worked fewer hours so we all could enjoy that stuff more.

4. Why be between jobs when so many are available?

"There's an app for that. I start my new job in ten minutes!"

The employment want figure would still be positive and the unemployment figure by that would be negative.

There would to be so many jobs wanting that recruiters would be constantly busy asking employers to let them know if anyone is about to be let go.

5. People get fired and/or laid off. Might take a month or 2 to find the right job.

The one time in my life I was laid off, even after acquiring a new job within 1 month, it took another month before I could actually get started.

Imagine: You work a few hours each day while hunting that perfect job.
Imagine: You find it. Tap one month and another ten jobs appear.
Take a vacation in the mean time if you want.

Imagine.
