Hillary will win BIG tomorrow in SC, and Super Tuesday will essentially END it. Hillary will win so many of the contests that it will be impossible to catch her.
Bernie is a good man with terrific goals who has shined much needed light and has given much needed voice to the issues of income inequality and campaign finance reform. His problems have been: 1) Not having the kind of name recognition Hillary has. 2) Not having been on the national and international stage as she has and therefore not having built the kinds of relationships with both leaders and voters she has. 3) Being too far off the national political grid as a self-declared European-style socialist. 4) Advocating policies based on too much of an expansion of government. 5) Not forming the actual kind of organized and long-lasting activist movement needed to realize actual policy-making. Going to rallies isn't enough.
Bernie's goals are right, but on the whole his candidacy is just too much of leap for too many people. We need big goals, but also realistic objectives with more concrete means of achieving them. I applaud his effort, his goals, and his integrity. He is a good man with great intentions. But he just isn't a national candidate. Hillary will win the nomination handily as I have always predicted. She is a tough PROGRESSIVE FIGHTER who will BEAT THE LIVING CRAP out of that racist cartoon character carnival barker who is Trump.

(4,713 posts)I would still love an answer as to if Ashley Williams has endorsed BS. You posted an image eluding to that fact & I can't find anything on the intertubes showing that fact.

(38,516 posts)It's going to July 25th. If it's over before that, it'll be due to public outcry, an indictment or both. This is your deepest fear.

(9,497 posts)But after all the states that are RED in GE comes the states that actually may vote for a Dem in the GE. If they actually analyzed this, they would see that she is a stepping stone from RW to LW.

(46,436 posts)I made the same point below. Who cares who wins the Democratic primary in South Carolina or some of those other deeply red states? A Democratic presidential candidate hasn't won that state since 1976, and I don't see Hillary OR Bernie changing that trajectory when Barack Obama couldn't do it.

(90 posts)Yeah right..
It's not over - far from it. Bernie's in it all the way to Philadelphia, where he will have secured his nomination cleanly with the pledged delegates from all 50 states.

(3,017 posts)Remember, as Hillary Clinton reminded us when explaining why she wasn't dropping out in 2008 even though it was obvious that Obama would win the nomination, Robert Kennedy was assassinated in June.
