Real Clear Politics - "If the FBI recommends felony charges, as is likely, the DOJs choices are damned-if-you-do, damned-if-you-dont. For Loretta Lynch, it will make for a painful final year. For her party, the stakes are the presidency. For her country, they are the impartial rule of law."

Chelsea Manning made a difficult choice.
Perhaps this isn't too far off from that decision.
I am glad it is not my choice to make.
Chose wisely

(28,876 posts)I hardly doubt Congress Republicans will let this go. And what a position the Democrats would be in to defend her against impeachment.

(8,541 posts)A subpoena three months before an election so the window is closing fast. IMHO we will know one way or another. The only thing caveat is the fact that the FBI keeps on adding agents to this case. With upwards of 150 working full time on a 24/7 schedule. That tells me things might be snowballing. That doesn't even include the people working REF b cases.

(28,876 posts)Those are some very interesting points you make.
So what would happen after the election, if it were up to Clinton's own DOJ to decide?

(154,021 posts)is not a RW talking point if you know anything about this shit. I reached that conclusion after reading four of the emails, from Sidney Blumenthal that were released and have since been classified.
But I understand how you would think that is a RW talking point, All the points made in the article are the ones that I actually understand. I have said in the past that this is a highly technical story, and unless you know somebody who had handled material, or you have done it yourself, this story does not make sense.
Some of us have tried to explain it. it sounds as if DOJ is getting closer to that point of decision, and if they decide to charge, say good bye to your candidate. As somebody I know who handled intel put it. if she had done that, she would be facing 30 at Leavenworth.
