We are furious with the Republicans here and in Washington. Being an academic family, we haven't had a raise in 3 years. Nothing of substance in 6. I had to quit my job due to health concerns and the medical bills, even with insurance, are bankrupting us. On top of that we are still paying my husband's student loans.

People are hurting, but i don't think they blame Obama for all of it, at least they shouldn't.

No candidate (that I've noticed) is addressing the issue of rising rents and lack of control over housing costs. A lot of us worry about retirement, too. I'm fine NOW - but my rent has gone up 200% in the last five years and Washington state has made it illegal for rent controls to exist. The median house price in Seattle is insane. We have one car and I commute - I can't live too far away, or even out of, the city. It's a mess. It's my biggest fear, that I'll be priced out of Seattle and don't have any idea where I'll live in five years because the concept of a long-term lease would get laughed at in this country.

why try to block any new development. Rising rents are a local issue and in Seattle, the blame goes mostly to liberals that live there.

who voted to make rent control illegal, and keep it off the table. Not to mention the PRO development crowd who are allowing evictions all over town while all the new housing that's being built is luxury apartments for tech workers.

For the average American.
The economy does not benefit the middle class, imo.
Times are still so tough for so many people.
I can't say I am doing worse under Obama, but I am not really doing any better.
About the same.
Stagnant.

Never mind the millions living in poverty and hunger. Never mind the stagnant wages.

Everything's officially fine.
