But regardless it was a smart political move to do his victory speech now during prime time.

Which is basically a win for Hillary since Bernie needs to come up with some gains somewhere.

Hell, that one could have gone either way--I was a bit surprised she pulled that one out, but I was glad for her--that was hard-fought.

Your point is a fair one, though--that it becomes a game of numbers at some point in time.

It was a great thing to say, and I was very heartened by it.

Now, I can relax and yell at anyone who says "Bernie should just quit and let Hillary concentrate on the General".

Screw her.

Bernie is taking this to the convention.

Because that was electioneering within 150 feet of a polling place.

Bill Clinton was standing within 20 feet of the polling place, using a megaphone to encourage people to vote for Hillary Clinton.

He did something illegal.

The former president was on the road today in the Bay State, shaking hands at polls at several stops. However, no evidence was presented that he was actively campaigning at the polls, and just being there isn’t enough to run afoul of Massachusetts’ election laws.

Going into a polling place to shake hands, that’s not considered campaigning,” McNiff said. “There was a big crowd around when he did come, and I think people were upset at that. But campaigning is not simply being in the place.”....McNiff added that there have been no similar complaints levied against other campaigns.

One concern is that simply having the former president — husband of the Democratic frontrunner — on scene would be a de facto campaign sign, but McNiff said state law doesn’t get into those particulars.

“I don’t think that’s spelled out in the law,” he said. “People might have various opinions on that, but as long as he’s not campaigning and is just shaking hands like candidates do, it’s not a problem.

That dog is not hunting. Marty Walsh is an old school politician--he knows where the line is. Continuing to beat that drum is just 'not on,' as they say. I guess Marty has to go under the bus, too? Never mind his strong support for E.Warren?

smh.

I realize that's what you think, but the candidate wasn't even in the state.

The Commonwealth Secretary, William Galvin, has said that he violated no laws. You can beat this drum if you'd like, but the laws are -- and have always been -- "old pol gladhanding" - friendly in Massachusetts. This is an incredibly common occurrence in MA politics--which is why Marty Walsh was strolling around with Hillary's husband and the NB mayor did the same.

These guys know the law, and they know where the lines are. This isn't their first foray into the election fire in MA.
