Warren Mayor James Fouts says he will introduce presidential candidate Bernie Sanders tonight when he speaks at the Macomb Community College Expo Center in Warren.

Sanders, an independent U.S. Senator from Vermont seeking the Democratic nomination, will speak at a 7 p.m. rally.

“I will introduce him and welcome him to Warren,” Fouts says on his Facebook page. “It should be an eventful evening. Always honored to meet a future President, Presidential candidate as well as the current President. So far I have personally met President Ronald Reagan and Barack Obama. ... Great to have the Presidential candidates coming to Warren. It demonstrates our importance in a Presidential election.”
