How do we save a free and open society in the middle of a collapsing empire?
Put down the rose-colored glasses. Regardless of who steps into The White House in January. POTUS #45 in gonna be up to their armpits in heavy-duty industrial fan-splattered fertilizer. There will be lots of interesting things that can be found floating around in that scatstorm. What will our next executive find first? Will it be Nero's fiddle? Will it be Adolf's can of Zyclon B? Or will it be that small kernel of wisdom that may be used to regrow the crop of a strong and vibrant democracy.
It's easy to understand why this election season puts a sour look on everyone's face. It really stinks here.
