Michigan Primary Runs out of ballots Amid high turnout:

Michigan Democratic Primary Runs Out of Ballots Amid High Turnout

Dylan Sevett | March 8, 2016

Polling places are reportedly running out of ballots in Michigan today, complicating a critical primary that was predicted to have a record turnout.

Despite the fact that county clerks, the media, and just about everyone else predicted this situation, the primaries in Michigan were chaotic. Grand Rapids even ordered additional ballots, expecting a 25% increase.

Local station WZZM reports that they have received multiple calls about ballots running out at Plainfield Township precinct No. 3, The Ambrose Ridge Apartments. WZZM’s David Bailey reported a “miscommunication between the Kent County clerk’s office and this particular precinct,” saying the ballots which were meant for the precinct were accidentally re-routed to another location.

Some people were turned away at the polls while the station was without ballots for two hours, while others waited so that they could vote.

The turnout in Michigan was higher for today’s primary than it has been in decades, according to county clerks.

They are not allowed to turn anyone away. They must offer a paper ballot when such an issue occurs.

I wonder if the criteria was like the Nevada caucuses, where only one candidate's voters had to register and sign in.

election in the year 2016.

Has it always been this bad ???

It seems to me this exceptional country can't do anything fair or efficient.

The U.S. government is number 1 in bloviating and useless platitudes.

I am so sick of this country being run in a half ass manner.

And the majority of the citizens will vote for the oligarchy to maintain

and gain even more control.

It dumbfounds and sickens me at the same time.

the Big Money Oligarchy that Clinton aligns with. They have so much money the sky is the limit for them. The super-wealthy don't like to lose especially to peons.

This is a class war between Goldman-Sachs and us peons. Whose side are you on?

When Keith Olbermann commented Hillary ran against Obama as if she was the Republican and he the Democrat, he pinpointed what she is prepared to do to win..
