Fuck the polls.

Let's give it a rest people. Take a time out. Everybody is running around digging up this poll or that one and posting it...so whaddya think of this one? This one isn't too bad, is it? Oh don't believe that one...it's full of shit!

No polls matter right now. What matters is President Obama coming out tomorrow night and laying the bitchslap of all bitchslaps on our boy Mittens. 47 percent...where are your tax returns....why don't you keep your money in American banks instead of in the Caymans...are you going to repeal Roe v. Wade if you get the chance or is it not 'on your agenda' that you are 'aware of'...which is it...do you think it's really okay for sick poor people to get their primary health care in emergency rooms...do you really think it's okay to pay a 13 or 14 percent tax rate and oh ya where are the rest of your tax returns...and on and on and on....

Nothing. Else. Matters. Any poll which you read right now is already old news....so fuck it.

Fuck the polls.

I never really trusted them that much. Many of them are notorious for under-sampling minorities and cell phone users. Plus it almost makes you want to turn off the TV for a minute since they show polls every damn day on every show...and what bugs me is how, like another DUer pointed out, they call the race a "dead-heat" when Obama leads by 1-3 points, but they say he's "trailing" when Robme is ahead. And I still have yet to hear about how Obama has been polling slightly ahead in AZ now. Every MSM network is guilty of this, even the supposedly-liberal MSNBC.
To be honest, I simply have a hard time believing that the race shifted so sharply in Robme's favor just because of ONE debate.

And it makes me want to hurl. Obama leads by a couple it's a dead heat or 'statistically tied' (another personal fave)...Romney leads by one or two....the motherfucker is 'surging' in the polls!!! Surging? Ya...right daddy-o.

at the same time, we need to realize that is probably what the purpose is (and repubs are pushing and conducting polls that are biased in their favor). Even at that, we need to keep tweeting, GOTV'ing, etc. even when it looks good no matter what. Don't give up and don't assume there is no use in voting if you think Obama is losing. Chances are he isn't and he certainly will if people don't go to the polls and vote for him! Try to get at least one person to vote for him who planned on staying home. Take them to the polls or whatever it takes and ask others to do the same. The multiplier effect will be great if everyone would do it! I already talked one person who likes Obama into going with me to the polls when she wasn't sure she'd even vote. I'm going to try for a few more!

The only poll that matters is the one on Election Day.
And Obama will win in such a way that the Republican Party will be left shaken.

I love Democratic Underground but sometimes the posters get carried away with the histrionics.
The Democratic Party had become weak & it filtered into many of its followers.
So many are so scared that the Republicans are gonna try to steal the election for Romney.
When the truth is this race isn't even close & never has been.
They're still shook over Bush Jr.

Time to get strength back.
Obama's gonna crush this loser tomorrow & set the stage for his LANDSLIDE in November.
End of story.

Obama - overwhelming support from the military
Romney - zero with African Americans, below 30 with Latinos and women

Not enough angry old white men for RobMe to win PERIOD

19. polls getting ridiculous

Its getting ridiculous with the polls now.

One poll shows Obama up by 6 in Ohio, another shows a tied race, and yet another shows him losing.

One poll shows Obama up by 7 in New Hamspire, another shows a tied race, and yet another shows Romney leading by 4.

One poll shows Obama up by 4 in Florida, another shows him down by 7.

Some polls show Romney got a bounce of 12 points, others show his bounce at no more than 2.

One thing is for certain, at the end of this election there are going to be pollsters that will be off the final result by a big margin and they will lose any credibility they had.

The way I see it, is if all pollsters are sampling the same areas, then they should have differences of no more than 3-4 points between each other, NOT these massive differences they currently show.

And it seems to me that this year there are like 10 times the number of different pollsters than in years past. Like a whole bunch of new polling firms I have never heard of before. All trying to get a piece of the action. Wildly different results, no predictability. Useless really.
