Armed Forces Show Overwhelming Support for Obama

Foreign policy, military funding and plans for U.S. troops abroad are providing plenty of chewy campaign fodder for President Barack Obama and his GOP rival, Mitt Romney. But fundraising reports shed light on what the armed forces think about the the candidates.

Former Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul received significant support from the military for his strong stance on bringing troops home, and that briefly continued even after Romney pulled ahead as the clear GOP candidate.

Now, though, the military's support has shifted toward Obama. Romney has consistently received little financial backing from military donors.

I know many people in the military and President Obama is very popular. That however is not the official story you will hear. Since Reagan a lot of military work is done by private contractors. They win big if the warhawk Romney gets into office. Just as they hit paydirt with Cheney.

But of course the military families must be well aware, and that might account for some of their support.

You just know that if Romney and Ryan had done one damn thing that actually helped military families they'd be tooting their own horns as if they were playing "Reveille."

It doesnt matter if they support him (on the surface), it is all about voting. If they don't vote, it really doesn't matter much for now and later as the repugs ravage the country. The GOP/TPARTY goal is to assumed control of govt, privatize as much as possible, weaken enforcement of laws, sell off common good assets to highest bidder at yard sale prices and then harvest what is left before leaving the bones for the middle class to pick up and clean up.
