Keep telling the world it's neck-and-neck and then you only have to flip a believable number of votes to take it.

The Supreme Court will soon decide whether to reverse a federal court ruling requiring the state of Ohio to let its counties decide whether to permit early voting during the weekend before Election Day.

If they reverse the decision it could affect the winner in Ohio and Ohio will possibly decide the winner of the election.

Stay tuned.

Obama's numbers were artificially inflated because of Romney's ineptitude, but unenthusiastic Republicans were always going to eventually fall in line and come home to their candidate. It's what they do. And President Obama now has to run on a record and not an idea, which makes him less appealing to a long of idealistic voters that came out for him in '08. He should still win this, but it will be close.

ELECTION SPOILER: Obama wins in a LANDSLIDE

Like the original poster said, I ain't buying this crap about Romney surging.
Romney's gonna get his ass kicked.

Media needs you to think it's close so no one tunes them out.
That goes for the ones on their side & our side.
Landslide's coming. Get ready for it.

for the sensationalization of the poll changes.
How else would they be able to justify their reason for existance?
Media outlets are businesses like any other business in America. Their purpose is to create profit... the more headlines the more market share, the more profit they are in line for. Why do you think so many of the media outlets have their own polls?
Their job is not to report public opinion, but to create it.

They are the same ones who are insisting that there is no "enthusiasm" among Democratic voters, DESPITE showing daily images of the President speaking in front of crowds that number in the tens of thousands. And, DESPITE their reporting on a daily basis that Democratic early voters outnumber republican early voters by twenty points or more.

Cause it is tie at this moment.

It defies logic, but it is ...

At least the national polls, and there really is debating that.

Electorally, yes, with Ohio still reasonably solid in polling and early voting on the books, BO clearly has the best position.

But, it COULD continue to trend toward Romney and end up with him taking Nevada, NH, ect and winning electorally outright or tying it up.

Which doesn't make sense. The debates only make a big shift in polling when a candidate is fairly unknown. Examples: Hermain Cain riding a strong debate towards some early primary success, or Rick Perry's campaign being doomed by a debate flop. In this case, both candidates are well known. Romney has been running for president for 6 years, Obama campaigned for 2 years and has been POTUS for almost 4. We know these guys. Most everyone has made up their mind. I don't see how a single debate is going to cause a great shift.

They need the advertising dollars. If they had declared Obama the winner six months ago, there wouldn't be a stream of revenue to support their 24x7 mindless blather.

Democratic Pollster Stan Greenberg even admits that Romney got a surge after the Presidential debate and that he even improved his standing with unmarried women voters.

We need to take the threat of Romney seriously and keep working hard.

And Obama needs to be on his game for the next 3 weeks.
