OK, I'm going to write some *nice* generalities about Hillary

I've been doing a lot of introspective thinking about politicking lately and how emotions cloud truth and irritation is contagious. So, in the spirit of trying not to add to the worsening atmosphere, I am going to list general things about Hillary that I think are decent.

1. She's determined
2. Faced with obstacles, she keeps on keeping on
3. She has intellectual capacity and is able to take in a lot of info and synthesize it
4. Shows some ability to compromise when necessary
5. Experienced. Has worked on important projects
6. Aggressive when necessary
7. Has a deep well of motivation
8. Has helped to move women's issues forward
9. Has withstood a great deal of abuse without outwardly flinching
10. Her incrementalist approach does have merit in certain situations
11. Gets creds for making a marriage with issues work for her
12. Does speak for certain types of Dems, the way a portion think of the party mission and parameters

So, I give Hillary a pat on the back for the above. I'm not going to get more specific than that because I'm sympathetic to the need for an overhaul of our system and the time seems right; so I support Bernie.

And if she REALLY cared about women, why is she buddying up to Saudi Arabia?

Cafe in Riyadh. Saudi authorities insist, to an extent unmatched in any other Muslim country, that Islam demands this separation in public and that these rules keep society orderly, honor tradition, and show respect for God.

Why not just tell the poster to shut up, while you're at it? You can find plenty of threads to post these type of attacks, so why do it on this one meant to be a SINCERE gesture of goodwill between the two campaigns?

Is mutual respect and party unity not a desirable goal for you?

terms of this general election. And it throws back to the wisdom of the ultimate statesman, John Kerry, when he decided to endorse Barack Obama instead of launching another bid for the WH.

Kerry said that what convinced him of the importance of an Obama presidency was his extensive travels around the world during Bush's term and listening to other leaders and their citizens - the Republican party had succeeded in convincing most of the world that the US was predominantly a racist country that would never allow a person of color to become the most powerful leader in the world. That made it far more difficult for those nations to enter into agreements and alliances with the US than the mainstream media would dare recognize publicly.

Kerry said that electing Obama would put our nation in a greater position of strength when negotiating with other nations, and do more to combat the perception of rampant racism than trillions of tax dollars and decades of diplomacy could ever do.

I think the same can be said for the first female president in a world where most women exist still as far below men. The US best leads by example. Sometimes a picture is worth far more than words and dollars.

She is a leader who will do whatever it takes to win. She is charitable when it benefits her. She is fierce.

She is Hillary.
