2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumToday is the day Bernie Sanders needs to stop going negative on Hillary.
From here on out his campaign should be about building himself up instead of trying to tear her down. Should I start some kind of online petition?

(6,282 posts)This isn't really a popularity contest, at least to me.

(1,019 posts)But something tells me that Tad Devine and Jeff Weaver have some kind of score to settle, and they're only going to double-down from now on.
This makes Tad Devine 0-for-5 on winning presidential campaigns on which he has worked. Carter's re-election, Mondale, Dukakis, Kerry, and now Sanders.

(25,699 posts)I don't think you have a lot of room to talk, Janey. Seeing as how you sourced Stormfront to attack a jewish candidate for the Democratic party.

(16,631 posts)Bernie never went negative on HIllary and he probably should have; just wait until the republicans do; you have not seen anything yet

(2,125 posts)the ones who went completely negative and smeared Sanders with any RW crap they could throw. Now all the sudden they want a hand-off approach to Hillary. Well, the primaries ain't over ....

I wonder if I can get banned or just on a 90-day time out?

(12,041 posts)I don't think you are going to have much credibility in calling for people to play nice.
The nasty tactics of the Clinton campaign have alienated many of us and we are not about to pretend that Clinton is suddenly acceptable. If the Clinton campaign wanted our votes in the general they should not have spent the primary season attacking us.

(2,145 posts)You must be an emotional voter. He's stuck to issues. Period. Can you name one thing he has said about Cllinton that is untrue? No nuance. No lies. Just issues. Not so with her. You should know that if you voted for her. You should know the difference between issues and innuendo and personal attacks.
He should and he will continue to call her out to keep her honest. Your job as her supporter will be to make sure she keets her newly articulated promises.

(6,960 posts)HRC is the shit slinger but she will meet her match in the general against repukes and Trump... 20+ years of her lies, pandering, flip-flopping all on the web/YouTube ready for GOP campaign ads. Think Benghazi and emails on steroids.
Her own words will destroy her and rightfully so.
