Sanders did not qualify 10 delegates for the NY Primary

In NY, you have to get petition signatures in every congressional district for both the candidate and the delegate. If the candidate wins, their delegates go to the convention. Sanders did not get signatures for 10 delegate positions in NY meaning that if he wins those districts, he may not get a full slate of loyal delegates

I can can't read the PDF... Are you saying that sanders lost by 1 and 2 signatures in those districts?

If that is the case, something is fishy because Sanders isn't some small, no chance candidate. He is within striking distance of Clinton and has won many states -- there is no way, in my opinion, this should be the case. I'll have to read the PDF later...

Assuming no one was disqualified for some reason. I checked it because often in NY, second and third tier candidates rarely have delegates. I'm not saying Sanders is lower tier. Just going off of experience.

Sorry if it seemed that way. I just found it odd that at this point his ground team wouldn't have ensured that he had enough signatures to overcome any disqualifications etc. I don't know enough about NY election law to make any other statement other than my gut reaction.

Again, sorry if I sounded accusatory.

In suburban Chicago districts they filed one too many names in several districts which means if voters failed to follow directions to vote for the correct number and instead filled in the bubbles for all of the named delegates, the vote for president is counted as an over vote and thus is counted as no vote for president.

I'm amazed at the level of incompetence in the Sanders campaign.

It would only come into play if he were to win like 84%+ in some of these districts.

Or if he won over 70% of the vote in the districts where he is 2 short.

Then he might not have enough committed delegates to fill all the slots he won.

edit: Or if we won over 67% of the vote in districts 15 and 18, because they are allotted 6 and he has 4 available.

This will almost certainly not be an issue. And if it were, it probably wouldn't cost him more than 1 or 2 delegates.

Not that this will do anything for the small contingent of "Sanders will win NY" crowd that have made it clear they have no interest in anything reality based.
