(20,043 posts)paid for college. One is a Bernie supporter one a Hillary supporter. Both will vote for the eventual Dem. nom.
That 'stuff'' won't work on me. Try again.

(3,660 posts)If it's not as pro-Hillary as Blue Nation Review (now owned by her super-PAC and just a propaganda outfit for her), then they will just discredit any source as right-wing or such.
Ignorance is truly bliss for some.

(5,761 posts)I learned to look at the different sides of an argument. That is how you learn. Heck my other half is a 2A loving Libertarian. We get along just fine. Tolerance these days seems to be a rare thing, on both sides of the aisle.
Tolerance for those on the opposing side. I'm all for tolerating and working with conservatives, but when during the primary season we're voting for someone to represent our values, someone who clearly takes money from special interests, supports fracking when the climate is morphing into something so different, we can't afford to support a candidate agreeable to such tendencies that oppose such values. Makes no sense. Are you for or against saving the planet? No in between. This problem, whether you know, has been going on for so long. We're about to lose our current levelbof civilization, potentially, and we're going to support one who takes money from oil companies? No logical sense at all.
I get it about Sanders. He's not someone who is so well polished. He's seems bitter and angry a lot of the time. I don't care about looks. I look for substance. Character. At every turn, I see a politician when I see Hillary. I see the established connection with corporations and campaigning, someone who is adept at playing the game. Sure, we need to work with those who don't agree with us, but we need to demonstrate our values as liberals before Democrats. We need to question everything, not settle.
Here's what I mean. Sanders is coming to Seattle tomorrow for a public speech at Key Arena. He's an inspiring speaker. Clinton's only planned visit, as far as I've read, is to attend a private fund raiser in the swaky suburb of Medina.

(11,360 posts)... more democratic, or less democratic?
The super-delegate system is inherently undemocratic.
I suppose he might have asked all the supers to just not vote, but I'm not sure that's even an option given the system we have.

(30,481 posts)That would be foolish to think considering comments like this from people posting here.
"As much as I despair thinking of a President Trump, if SHE gets the nomination I will look forward to seeing her lose."
I think there is zero chance that person will vote for Clinton. I also think is says not one single thing about Clintons chances in the GE.
Clinton and her supporters are going to work for every vote and all signs point to her being able to beat Trump. It's not going to be easy.

(10,493 posts)A major outcry went out to stop it, and when the ruling came down - the call was clear that we wanted it overturned. What made the party think, Hillary think, that running a campaign at the corporate trough was a good idea? She is completely, unabashedly, unapologetic and in our face over it. And her history only shows us that it will not be in our favor. I'll never cast a vote for Trump. But how could our party ever expect us to support her? Why did they do this?

(30,481 posts)Campaign finance laws need to be rewritten. That is the truth of it. The thought of overturning CU goes against all thoughts on how the judiciary works and is nothing more than a false narrative. Campaign finance needs to be revisited by the legislative branch, not the judiciary. I wish people really understood claiming it needs to be overturned is nothing more than propaganda. Democratic propaganda coming from our side in order to rally votes. It isn't a Sanders thing, it is a Democrat thing. Meanwhile it gives legislators a pass on what is their job.

(504 posts)Millions wouldn't be given for no existence of quid pro quo agreements. One can't possibly be so blind to not see that the money given to political campaigns in this country don't show evidence of influence.
