Thom Hartmann pointed out this week: Trump will win his party's nomination!

Thom said on Wednesday (or Thursday) that he was talking to a top Republican who said that the thinking was (among a lot of top Republicans) that Trump, as a deal maker, will make the deal to get to the top of the Republican ticket.

My interpretation, just before the vote he calls Cruz and says, "You can be my Vice-President if you give me your designated votes! You can give me advice and i look forward to it!"

Trump (inadequate in every other way) can call people up and make an offer "they can't refuse."

This is another reason to listen to Thom Hartmann radio, and even to sign up for his podcast as I have. (I sure look forward to the major issues he focuses on and it makes my driving enjoyable.)

Thom is, of course, the person who has hosted "Brunch with Bernie" for more than 8 years and who helped introduce him on the national stage. Listen to him on your computer -- he has the most important show on radio, on TV, in the US (although I really do love Amy Goodman)

Go Bernie!!! Go Thom!!

whether the Democratic candidate is clinton or sanders.

A Trump led ticket with Cruz is no less a loser than any other ticket with Trump at the top.

But all the available evidence suggests you're quite wrong about Clinton-Trump.

When you have repub voices such as Gerson, Rubin, even Will, saying that they'd rather see a third party run than a Trump presidency, you know that Trump's chances in the GE are zilch.

even if it is contrary to all available evidence.

After all, there are people who have the opinion that the earth is flat and that the moon landing was faked. They choose not to believe supposed expert opinion either.

The rest of us are stoopid but you know the inside scoop?

Polls are not hacked. They are swayed only in the sense that they measure public opinion. Right now they show Clinton beats Trump handily.

I suppose you think Thom Hartmann never makes stuff up. Ask him when that big market crash is happening.

The will to believe in your own reality doesn't make it so.

i find someone willing to lie outright in order to sell crap (in Hartmann's case, gold and bulllshit nutritional supplements) in order to pay his bills and thus stay on the air to be untrustworthy on substantive issues too.

A few years back I started noticing that whenever I tuned him in, Hartmann was predicting the imminent collapse of the stock market and the US economy.

To me he's as much a bullshit artist as Glenn Beck.

Trump will get it by winning primary delegates.

If he's within 40 and there are 400 free delegates, he may not have to do anything because 10% of the free delegates will vote for him anyway.

Or he could cut deals with a small number (possibly 25 or less) to put him over the top. Ben Carson might chip in his 6

Rubio will probably have enough delegates that he could do deal like Cruz.

So Trump can play them off each other to get the best deal.

I think it's good news for Hillary if he gets it. He may beat her but he's flawed enough, Hillary has a shot if the email troubles don't get her
