Or simply vote as one's most closely identified gender.. kind of goes without saying, right?

(3,384 posts)gender. So voting FOR Prom Queen or King is only one third of the info gathered since three candidates are listed but two sexes are voting... hmm. I never thought about it, "sexes" is a palindrome! Thank you JON!

Have you heard anything remotely like that this season? I have.

(9,292 posts)But since he is not listed it would be between Warren and Sanders for me.
I like them both equally so I would probably be like I was when O'M was in the race, support whoever is ahead at the time, but not be upset if one surpassed the other.
I will vote for Hillary in the GE if she is the nominee. Ultimately, the issues I support the most are advanced the most with a dem in the whitehouse. However, my vote would be more as opposing the republicans than for her.
I doubt she or any of her supporter could care less at my lack of enthusiasm though.

I appreciate your sharing. It's very innovative and creative of you to adapt it to DU! [img][/img]

(11,014 posts)It is like asking people in Mecca "how many of you are Muslim?"
vkkv
(3,384 posts)At this time there are ZERO votes for Hillary. This could mean a number of things, none of which am I voicing support.
HRC fans are unmotivated.
HRC fans won't show up to vote.
HRC fans feel over-whelmed and defeated by Bernie fans at DU but do not stop think about WHY Bernie has so many fans.
HRC fans are asking themselves if they are really SURE that HRC can win, given all the many investigations and liabilities? ... you know, like Bill.

(45,251 posts)At DU, it's much safer for the minority than than for the majority. I doubt that's true at Mecca, either.
Prism
(5,815 posts)I like them both a great deal. I think Warren has the edge slightly, because she's been more directly in the fray against Wall Street. That isn't to diminish Sanders' efforts. I just feel like Elizabeth has been more out there with claws out, throwing haymakers. She's got a lot of grit, and I admire that.

(53,097 posts)at least it's its common usage. (Said as someone who used it a lot when not on DU).

(53,097 posts)I use it to refer to my aunt. I use it as a verb. In my mind, it refers to a type of behavior that doesn't extend to all Sanders supporters.
Clearly the term is gendered in its origin, but I do believe its usage has widened since that article.

(11,945 posts)Gender isn't all that big a deal. It's who you are as a person that counts.

(1,290 posts)It's not so much Hillary support as "who can I piss off today?" Unfortunate that they must play this game when there's an election to win, but c'est la vie.

(10,478 posts)So, all you're measuring here is how many Sanders supporters vs Hillary supporters there are in the DU. We already know that those scales tip his way.
