I know that's not totally new, but he seems to have placed more emphasis on it. Went after Scott Walker (I know, Wisconsin) and also the "cowardly GOP governors" and said the GOP presidential candidates are an embarrassment to America and "to sane Republicans too." He referred to them attacking wives and acting like kids having a food fight.
I'm wondering if he is shifting to the General a little more too. And/or perhaps showing the Democrats what he can do if let loose on them.
Just thought it was interesting.

(1,507 posts)Reading this forum every day it's clear some could use a refresher course in bashing the GOP.
And I watched every minute of it, btw. He took it to them.

(28,876 posts)It addresses his weakness as a candidate (I.e the misguided belief he can't win against Republicans). There's no need to convince people not to like Hillary (look at her unapproval numbers, lol), he just needs to prove that he's as effective a fighter as she.

(50,130 posts)I thought "He is pivoting to General Election mode."
Another thing I noticed was his PLEDGE to overhaul treatment of Native Americans by the government. There was a NA family behind him on stage, and it was clear that they were moved by this man who SAID that their people had been treated terribly from colonial days and that we all owe a great debt to their culture and knowledge.
It was very cool.
