....that is my guess at Hillary's password in her early month as SoS...

her email address hdr22@clintonemail.com...

unencrypted server which also had a web server running for accessing email in a browser.

if no one hacked her it was only because hackers would never expect the US gov't to be so stupid.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/investigations/how-clintons-email-scandal-took-root/2016/03/27/ee301168-e162-11e5-846c-10191d1fc4ec_story.html

Not until March 29, 2009 — two months after Clinton began using it — did the server receive a “digital certificate” that protected communication over the Internet through encryption, according to Venafi’s analysis.

It is unknown whether the system had some other way to encrypt the email traffic at the time. Without encryption — a process that scrambles communication for anyone without the correct key — email, attachments and passwords are transmitted in plain text.

“That means that anyone could have accessed it. Anyone,” Kevin Bocek, vice president of threat intelligence at Venafi, told The Post.

The system had other features that made it vulnerable to talented hackers, including a software program that enabled users to log on directly from the World Wide Web.

If her mouthpiece has concern, the American people really need to be.

sound like the FBI recovered them...

In August, the FBI obtained the server and has since recovered most, if not all, of the deleted correspondence, said a person familiar with the investigation.

Jim Efaw writes:
Hillary Clinton's home servers had more than just the e-mail ports open directly to the Internet. The Associated Press discovered, by using scanning results from 2012 "widely available online", that the clintonemail.com server also had the RDP port open; another machine on her network had the VNC port open, and another one had a web server open even though it didn't appear to be configured for a real site. Clinton previously said that her server featured "numerous safeguards," but hasn't explained what that means. Apparently, requiring a VPN wasn't one of them.

Hillary Clinton’s private email server could be controlled remotely over an open Internet connection, potentially exposing the server to hackers, The Associated Press reported.

"Clinton’s server, which the Democratic presidential candidate used to host all of her email exchanges while serving as secretary of State, was set up with a Microsoft remote desktop service. The tool allows users to control devices remotely via an Internet connection

That connection, however, is supposed to have additional security measures, such as encryption, to block nefarious actors from exploiting the remote-control software and hijacking a device. Most employ an encrypted private connection, or virtual private network (VPN), when controlling a device from afar.

The U.S. government issued warnings about this vulnerability during Clinton’s time in office. The State Department even banned technology officials from using remote-access software to work on unclassified servers without a waiver, according to the AP.
