Will Hillary refuse to debate Donald Trump if she's in the GE? (Original Post) DFab420 Mar 2016 OP

And between two candidates who are quite similar (all hyperbole and rhetoric set aside), 8 debates is a lot.

After 6 months or so, I'd say most people have made up their minds, all another debate does at this point is provide free airtime for the cash-strapped Sanders campaign.

“Well look it’s still only March, so there’s plenty of time to consider a potential debate in April, and if we have one, where the site for it would be," Fallon said. "The Sanders campaign sent us a letter over the weekend which I considered to have been a stunt."

Personally, I'd rather she spend her time out on the campaign trail and raising funds to combat Trump in the fall.

If she's running ahead of the competition there's no benefit to debating Sanders, and that would hold true even if he was in the lead. Clearly, at this point she doesn't see him as any real threat. Sanders has more to gain with another debate so of course he wants that to happen, but unless Clinton sees the numbers change, debating him isn't going to happen.

But yes, it is so odd that such a "fighter" can't handle a debate without tone police.
