Related: About this forumAZ confirms massive voter disenfranchisement - thousands of provisional votes to be counted
Reagan answered yes when asked if she knew for certain voter registration had been changed prior to the primary election, then followed up by saying:This was something that I know happens, and I know it happened to people in this room. Its not hearsay. It happened to someone in my own office. One of my employees was registered as a particular party, went to go vote, and I dont want to divulge his personal details, but it happened to him.

She couldn't explain why it happened, and they are investigating it, saying that they'll accept provisional votes from people that had their party affiliation switched to independent right before the election... which means that potentially thousands of new votes will have to be counted...
But of course many many many people gave up trying to vote on election day, or didn't use a provisional ballot because they were told it would not be counted.
So basically, the election is a sham. Whomever eventually is declared winner is going to have a big * next to the win, and many thousands of Arizonians are going to get agitating to have a revote for the foreseeable future, which IMO is probably the only fair outcome.
At any rate, this is far far far from being over.

(14,195 posts)Jail time for voter suppression and fraud. Someone switched voter affiliation intentionally. The only truly independent investigation and audit can be done by the FBI.
Root out who did the deed, then move up the food chain to find who said to do it.

EdwardBernays
(3,343 posts)That many many people gave up and didn't vote... Which means the election will always be inaccurate... Which is very sad.

(14,195 posts)There have been numerous irregularities in many states.... All benefitting the same person.
Crickets.
Except the probs were SO blatant in Az that people got up and fought back. We need to keep up the pressure on ALL irregularities moving forward!
Because there WILL be more, people who checked in Pa and NY already reports their voter affiliation was switched.

EdwardBernays
(3,343 posts)Not through provisional ballot counting.
With a revote maybe.
I say that because many many many people abandoned voting. So they can't be counted now.

(12,655 posts)only a revote would catch them.

(8,168 posts)I'm assuming that the person in her office was a Republican so this happened to many voters on both sides of the aisle. I'm sure these voters weren't all for the same candidate and that a few thousand ballots won't change the outcome (Hillary won by 72,000 votes, Trump by 118,000 votes), but it could possibly change a few delegates which might end up mattering on both sides of the aisle.
