A Sanders campaign spokesman did not respond to Clinton's comments directly, but said "Sen. Sanders has a 100 percent lifetime voting record defending a woman's right to choose and will do all that he can to protect and expand that right if elected president."

(17,651 posts)And many others came to the same conclusion: re: Rachel's effort to minimize Sanders' comments on Trump's punish the woman statements, that Sanders does not give a woman's right to choose respect as a serious issue and Trump's comments were no big deal.
What made it really bad was Rachel puts herself out as being a great journalist (the old Rachel certainly was) not this weak tea we've been served.......or disserved.
Rachel's Clinton interview would also have been the perfect opportunity to ask Ms. Clinton about this: http://www.democraticunderground.com/12511614277 but she didn't.
Sandler even monitored the amount of time given to the interviews of Clinton vs. Sanders......only 1/2 hour interview for Sanders (not an hour). That the last half hour was spent fabricating, mocking and generally being dishonest about the interview as well as Sanders and his campaign. Real kindergarten-level behavior on display. That portion I also saw. MSNBC, Sandler said, did not put up the clip but there is a person who recorded the audio portion and she hopes they make it available so more people can hear them yipping it up. I haven't had the time myself to look for it.
But I digress, some will probably not see the same biasness that I saw. I know bull when I see it and Rachel was covered in it.
And to be fair, the behavior seems to be viral.
Here's Sandler:

But she seriously floated a "constitutional restriction" on abortion -
And so, you know, again, I am where I have been, which is that, you know, if there is a way to structure some kind of constitutional restrictions that take into account the life of the mother and her health, then I'm open to that. But I have yet to see the Republicans willing to actually do that. And that would be an area, where if they included health, you could see constitutional actions.

(3,795 posts)We expect more from you than social issues HRC. Much more.
Your opponent is actually BETTER than you on abortion issues since you are willing to compromise on third trimester abortions.
Poor show HRC.
