Bernie's campaign press release responds to Hillary's latest lie

https://berniesanders.com/press-release/clintons-support-oil-gas-industry-lobbyists/?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=post&utm_campaign=tw160331

<NEW YORK – Bernie Sanders’ campaign spokesman Michael Briggs issued the following statement on Thursday after Hillary Clinton said she was “sick of the Sanders’ campaign lying about” contributions she received from the fossil fuel industry:

“The truth is that Secretary Clinton has relied heavily on funds from lobbyists working for the oil, gas and coal industry. According to an analysis by Greenpeace, Hillary Clinton’s campaign and her super PAC have received more than $4.5 million from the fossil fuel industry. In fact, 57 oil, gas and coal industry lobbyists have directly contributed to Clinton’s campaign, with 43 of them contributing the maximum allowed for the primary. Eleven of those 53 lobbyists are working as bundlers and have raised over $1.1 million in bundled contributions between them.

“It’s no wonder that back in December Clinton refused to agree to stop accepting money from the fossil fuel industry when pressed at a town hall, saying, ‘I’m not going to do a litmus test on them.’

“If Secretary Clinton wants to discuss this and other important issues she should stop stalling and agree to a debate in New York before the April 19 primary election.”>

There are links to analyses by both Greenpeace and the Huffington Post on Clinton’s support from the oil, gas and coal industry, as well as details on her lobbyist bundlers, at the linked response from the Sanders campaign.

And not in the day of social media.

Do you think there's anybody who believes Hillary doesn't take money from the fossil fuel industry?

They do facebook but they stick to their little niches. Honestly, I'm older and I am speaking from a reference point of stay-at-home moms and grannies who do a lot of volunteering and for the most part are apathetic to politics. They just don't want to talk politics. The last conversation I tried to have, my friend just said "it's time for a woman." That was the end. I'm not arguing with everybody. I have a wide circle of friends and it is very disheartening. Another noted that "he's that little old man isn't he?." What can you do?

If he had more time and more media, and we were in a time when people listened to debates which they did do as families back when I was a kid, it would be a different story. We have so many choices and people just don't gravitate to politics like we did when there were fewer stations and Presidential elections were highly covered and highly watched.

We have a much needed candidate right now but too few who pay attention the way they should. So the name recognition and the highly profiled persona gets the edge.

But Hillary is doing her part to convert some to Bernie. We need big turnouts from younger voters.

There's a striking overlap between communities who use social media and communities that don't support Hillary Clinton.

The sad thing is that a lot of us who used to defend her to our conservative friends are now agreeing with them about her. She tripped over her credibility gap again today, and before long she'll probably fall in it.

Hillary yells angrily at an environmental protester and misleadingly implies she is not receiving fossil fuel cash

http://www.salon.com/2016/03/31/watch_clinton_goes_off_on_greenpeace_activist_i_am_so_sick_of_you_bringing_up_my_fossil_fuel_money/

Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton went off on an environmental activist on Thursday, after being asked about the large sums of fossil fuel-linked cash she has received.

At a Clinton rally on the State University of New York at Purchase campus, Eva Resnick-Day, an activist with the environmental justice group Greenpeace, asked Clinton, “Will you act on your word to reject fossil fuel money in the future in your campaign?”

Clinton quickly lost her patience. Her smile promptly morphed into a scowl and she yelled at the environmental activist, “I do not have — I have money from people who work for fossil fuel companies.”

employment situation hasn't been hit up for the 'boss' favorite campaign/charity, etc.

the campaigns are a little tricky due to the limits, so the bosses tend to 'persuade' employees to bridge the gap, so to speak...

happens all the time and happens a lot...it's a part of the 'business' in a lot of situations...

bosses can always manage a rebate, too...just to show they aren't imposing...

yet on top of it to insult the public by denying what can be easily researched online. There is a disconnect that indicates she is overloaded with scrutiny.

I think The Clintons are old school politicians, the old status quo that makes room for playoffs and bribes. It went on for so many years it became its own culture inside the beltway. The Clinton's helped make it, so feel entitled to keep it. Third Way supporters seem to tolerate more corruption though this enables it to dominate, thrive and take over.
