Assuming that it exists at all, which I believe isn't true.

Every political figure claims to have whatever deity is popular where they are on their side. It's how people are, I guess.

I'm not sure who said it but one of my favorite quotes is, "The crime of totalitarianism is that it politicizes everything".

Sometimes, I need to take a breath and make sure I'm not guilty....

23. One question
Sat Apr 9, 2016, 10:37 AM
Apr 2016

What do I do if I'm not totally sure there is a God? Obviously if If I were an anti-theist, I would have to support Hillary, given that God has chosen Bernie. But I'm so unsure I can't even commit to calling myself agnostic. So that really leaves me at a loss about whom to support for the Democratic nomination.

Also, if I were truly concerned about God and such, shouldn't I be supporting Ted Cruz?

That does prompt me to question my support for Clinton. While I am not religious, I was raised by a Catholic mother and attended Catholic school for four years, so I know a great deal about shame and the fear of hell.

And that is how it has always worked. . . you catch the current, and you know you are in the current and you just keep flowing along, you don't have to do anything struggling or fighting, just keep following that flow. And I know you Bernie people are feeling it.

Just enjoy the ride. It is all taken care of.

mostly because I have no clue as to whether there is a higher power - God, Allah, FSM, L Ron Hubbard's space alien friends - or not.

What I do know, and polls back me up, is that Hillary Rodham Clinton is just not a very likeable person. When people don't trust you, when you have annoying tics (like the dismissive laugh, the angry voice used to lecture those unaware of her amazing-ness, the faux- point at somebody I know in the crowd and give them an awkward overblown smile...), when you change your positions by the moment, and when you take truckloads of cash from the very corporate bastards who are screwing average Americans, well, sorry not sorry.

She won't be the next President. Neither progressives nor republicans are going to vote for her. Nominating her pretty much assures a 4-year clown car ride with Donald Trump. He may be a racist asshole, but people are fired up to vote for that racist asshole.

Nobody is excited about voting for Hillary. Don't kid yourself into thinking you are... Unless you're a Wall Street CEO, there isn't much she's going to do for you.
