Release of Clinton’s Wall Street Speeches Could End Her Candidacy for President

The reason you and I will never see the transcripts of Hillary Clinton’s speeches to Wall Street fat-cats — and the reason she’s established a nonsensical condition for their release, that being an agreement by members of another party, involved in a separate primary, to do the same — is that if she were ever to release those transcripts, it could end her candidacy for president.
Please don’t take my word for it, though.

snip
1. Former Nebraska Governor and Senator Bob Kerrey (Clinton surrogate)

“Making the transcripts of the Goldman speeches public would have been devastating....[and] when the GOP gets done telling the Clinton Global Initiative fund-raising and expense story, Bernie supporters will wonder why he didn’t do the same....[As for] the email story, it’s not about emails. It is about [Hillary] wanting to avoid the reach of citizens using the Freedom of Information Act to find out what their government is doing, and then not telling the truth about why she did.”

2. Goldman Sachs Employee #1 (present at one of the speeches)

“[The speech] was pretty glowing about [Goldman Sachs]. It’s so far from what she sounds like as a candidate now. It was like a ‘rah-rah’ speech. She sounded more like a Goldman Sachs managing director.”

7. Paraphrase of Several Attendees’ Accounts From Politico

“Clinton offered a message that the collected plutocrats found reassuring, declaring that the banker-bashing so popular within both political parties was unproductive and indeed foolish. Striking a soothing note on the global financial crisis, she told the audience, ‘We all got into this mess together, and we’re all going to have to work together to get out of it.’”

We did not all get into this mess together. The mess was engineered by specific interests who gamed the system to make money and dump the consequences on the taxpayers. They sold the "too big to fail" notion to our elected representatives while we all wondered why we were not designated too small to fail. As we know, those too big to fail did not have to "work" to get out of the mess. The rest of us took care of that for them. All they had to do was sit back and reap the rewards of their criminal activity. So it's soothing to say stuff like this "all in this together" nonsense, but it is so completely untrue as to be farce.

asking to pay for their f-ups. I'm sure you and probably 99.9% of this website didn't either. But "we're all in this together" is a load of horse manure.

She will never release them because she knows that she is a liar who stands for the oligarchs.

Some will probably be "leaked" if Clinton is the nominee.

The general election campaigning will be brutal. Not the sweetness of these primaries.

According to her standard speaking contract, recording Clinton’s speech is prohibited, and the sponsor must agree to pay for stenographer services, whose transcription is given ONLY to Clinton. The Goldman speech contracts are not necessarily the same one Clinton uses for all of her speaking arrangements. But, of course, Clinton could release those contracts, too, if she chose to.

Bill Press also mentioned this on CNN after the debate last night, that HRC is the one who has the transcripts. So her "will have to look into it" schtick, followed by 'she'll do it when everyone else does', falls flat.

Just curious, since that's the precursor to her releasing her transcripts.

"I've ALREADY released ALL my transcripts with my private meeting with Wall Street Bankers.
There are none."

I have no doubt that Bernie will release all his tax returns, and they will be boring,
but Hillary will STILL weasel out of her promise. Traditional Clinton.
