Its up to you, New York

I want to wake up in a city
That never sleeps
And find I'm A#1
Top of the list
King of the hill
A#1

These little town blues
All melting away
I am gonna make a brand new start of it
In old New York

And if I can make it there
I'm gonna make it anywhere
It's up to you
New York, New York, New York

Feel the Bern, Big Apple!

From the movie "Working Girl" which fits too because the theme was real ability winning out over the cheating image person. It has one of my favorite song lines...

"We, the great and small,
Stand on a star and
Blaze a trail of desire
Through the darkling dawn"

Let the River Run (Carly Simon, 1989)

"Let all the dreamers wake the nation!"

Why is it we have a lot of song artists who join the fight for social and economic justice and taking care of the planet.

I don't remember any famous songwriters writing songs in favor of an Oligarchy, or a dictatorship, or a country that doesn't respect the earth.

I wonder why that is? Hmmmm.

Went very smoothly, I vote in a small town hall in a little rural town in the North Country.

All fears of inadvertent party affiliation being purge dissolved as I was asked to sign the book next to my name.

Was Handed the paper ballot and a black marker.

Filled it out, passed it thru the machine, the machine verified my vote and I was done.

One more for the Bernie side!!

Then I spent some time talking with the bored polling station volunteers. No line, no masses of crowds, no scary issues.

We are on our way!!
