will always be President Obama. Jimmy Carter is still refered to as President Carter.

Hillary has earned every position and office she has held. She is a hard-working, highly intelligent and gregarious woman.

14. AP manual of style

you are referred by the last office occupied. Whether that is Mayor so and so, or Governor so and so, or Secretary so and so. Notice, I did not say for what office. It could be Secretary of the Interior incidentally, but if I mentioned Secretary Jewell, I suppose most people would go who? Former police chiefs and sheriffs are also allowed to keep the honorifics, so it is Sheriff Kollender (RIP). He in particular could be referred as both Chief and Sheriff since he held both, but at the end of his life was referred by the last post he held, Sheriff, and why former military members are usually identified as Col. whatever (ret) in writing.

For the record, speaking of style, and this drives me nuts. The NYT still uses an older style adding things like Mister Obama, instead of President Obama, or Mrs. whatever.. they are like the only remaining ones still doing that. But when you cover court... guess what? Mr. or Mrs is used often...

Not being pedantic and in case you wonder, per the AP manual of style, where i am drawing this from, Web and Internet will be lower cased starting June 1. Yup, putting my money away to get the new electronic version.

Amazing those four words is all it takes.

You might want to check how former Presidents, SoS, VP's, and more are addressed after leaving.

I can't even think about politics today - it's a day of mourning for me. My all-time favourite musical artists, since I was 8 years old (now in my 40s). He was a complicated person and his stance on gay marriage pissed me off, but he was an absolute musical genius and we will never see another like him. He could play every instrument (Dave Grohl was once asked "Is Prince a better musician than you?" and answered "Man, Prince is a better DRUMMER than I am&quot and wrote more perfect pop songs than anyone. Most musicians go their whole careers trying to write ONE song as good as some of the filler tracks on Prince's least-known albums.

Interviewer to Eric Clapton: What does it feel like to be the greatest guitar player in the world?
Eric Clapton: I don't know, ask Prince.

My consolation is that it's pretty great to leave a legacy that compels people to get up and dance. And also that there's probably an equal amount of material to what he's already published, perfectly preserved in the Paisley Park vaults. Knowing Prince, he'll have mastered and catalogued all of it, with precise release dates after his death. Never let it be said he wasn't a weird control freak, lol.

When you fall in love with an artist the way I fell in love with Prince, it lasts a lifetime.

thing I did was pull the Rolling Stone greatest guitarists and I got tired of looking when i got to around 60 and still had not seen his name.

He may not have been the greatest, that is to be debated, but he belonged in a very select group.
