Once Hillary reaches 2026, there is no way Bernie could surpass her with any combination of pledged or super delegates remaining.

This is all theoretical, but your math is wrong.

There are 714 supers.

2,383 - 714 = 1,669.

Hillary could take up to 2,382 pledged delegates, leaving Bernie with as few as 1,669 and there would be enough supers to give it to Bernie.

I stopped looking at these specific formulas weeks ago. I have a general sense that Bernie isn't going to win but will probably snag something of import out of this, whether it be cabinet or platform or what have you.

If he wants to stay in for the experience and isn't ready to sachet away, then by all means, he should stick around. I don't think it matters at this point. Hillary will beat Trump.
