Bernie:support for hillary is not automatic...she is going to have to give something

THAT IS MY PARAPHRASE not a direct quote. last night, andrea mitchell interviewed sanders. she asked bernie if he will drop out. Bernie said no...there is a path to win, its a tough path, but its there. then she asked him if he will drop out after june 7...again bernie said that it would be tougher to win if he does not have more pd but did not say he would drop out (boy those m$m types are persistent buggers aren't they?)

so then she asked him if at the end of this, hillary is the nom if he would support her. this is from memory but its pretty close...bernie said something like "well its a two way street...what is the secretary going to do?"

when i find the video i will add it but it wasn't in google yet.

so it should be clear to all that

1. bernie is going to fight this to win all the way to the convention.
2. if he does not become the nom at the convention, some (imo significant) concessions will need to be offered by clinton for bernie to even consider endorsing and/or campaigning for her. and he will have a lot of support and leverage.

personally, there is nothing clinton could "offer" that would make me vote for her...because my differences are not just policy based. i do not trust her. she will promise the moon and the stars and sell us all out in a second. i am not personally sure that him endorsing her is even a good idea since they are basically completely different policy wise, but bernie needs to follow his own conscience and fight for as much as he can get.

each of us, of course, has to make our own decision in november no matter who the nom is. but it is clear that bernie is not going to roll over and sing kumbaya without some significant concessions.

bernie...fighting for us all the way!

edit...the interview was with mitchell on holt nightly. sorry...brain mushy still sad about prince

yes, the bernieorbust people this will not affect. but there are certainly sanders supporters who are deciding what to do in a general who might be on board with a clinton nom under the right conditions.

And I think what will happen is that at some point the Clinton and Sanders campaigns will meet quietly, and discuss the "end game" and how to manage it.

Bernie will endorse Hillary. And then Bernie will go to places that are well suited for him and his message, and he'll make the case that Hillary will make significant improvements in those areas, while the GOP would create more obstacles to the things we want.

his best role would be as gop attack pit bull. go after their weaknesses and keep hitting his core message. given the vast differences between his and hillarys policies, he will have a hard time rah rahing for her without sounding like a hypocrite imo. but he can point out how bad the gop is and let people come to their own conclusions as to who might be better.

an offer of something big could sway me. policy can be changed, character can not.

People reasonably see her as part of the problem because her willingness to violate the spirit of local election regulations, take advantage of the campaign finance laws that disregard the value of ordinary people, and participate in the corrupt corporate culture, thereby conveying legitimacy to those who exploit ordinary working people.
She could begin to earn mine if she corrected all of the above, and called for reparations for mass incarceration, reform of the social safety net so that people are not forced to be impoverished and employed, call for outright legalization of marijuana. All just to account for her past sins.

She would also have to recognize the humanity of Palestinians and respect Israel's right to exist without the assumption that they can do no wrong.

And, especially, stop with the claims of victimization and faux feminism. I'm not holding my breath and will vote for her with a heavy heart and celebrate if she wins about as much as I did in December 2000.

She will lie directly to our faces for our votes, then fuck us over after inauguration.

No thank you.

He'll do it or he won't, and it will likely have little impact on the election. Those supporters who won't support her without a Bernie endorsement won't support her even with a Bernie endorsement, so she gains nothing by negotiating with him for a booby prize.

Let him tarnish his legacy with petulance and sore-loserism.

Many agendas will meet to shape our slate and platform. Perhaps even the Cabinet, as may have happened in 2008.

I am so glad he lost, and I don't have to vote for him...as for the rest of you go vote for your GOP dream...Trump. Who cares. I would give Bernie nothing. He lost if...everyone liked him so much and his platform which is break up the banks, single payer , free college and repeal United Why didn't he win? Why should a winner adopt the loser's platform?. I have news for Bernie...what he says is not enough.
