Freudian Slip? Wolf being prescient?
All Bernie has to do is prevent Hillary from reaching 2383 "Pledged" Delegates! Then it is up to the "Supers" to decide IF... THEY want to take responsibility for nominating a candidate whose potential for generating a WIN in November is in a word.... NEGLIGIBLE...

(10,622 posts)was to safeguard the party from the possibility of nominating a candidate that would lose the General Election, there job is in fact to step in to make sure the "electable candidate" is nominated, they serve no other purpose.
That being said (mostly for the crybaby's that think they are there to mirror the popular vote and should not be appealed to on the grounds for which they were intended and created in the first place)
There should be no "sueperdelegats", but, if they are to exist until we can finally do away with them.
47 of them should not be registered lobbyists (yes, I know some lobbyists are lobbying for good goals rather than corrupt corporations, but they are a very small percentage among them, most are just hired to buy influence for corporations, this should be common knowledge to anyone here)
One should also remember that the supposed reasoning for having them, was to avoid having a nominee that will lose the General election, I would prefer you look it up yourself, but that was the rationale for having them in the first place.
Knowing this, one must realize that they are not there simply to vote exactly as the people vote, were that the case they would serve no purpose at all, and would not even exist.
Learn your party history, it will help put things in perspective.
All that said, I'd prefer a UN style and UN monitored election system that can be validly said to be almost impossible to corrupt, my idea should appeal to most democrats big D democrats as it is usually the Republicans that resort to election fraud to win, and all small d democrats, because election fraud is the anti-democracy.
Unfortunately however, by using the same metric as the UN and even the US (regarding other countries), we appear to have gone bipartisan on the election fraud issue as exit polls are used to help determine if fraud is happening and anything above a 4 point deviation between the two is considered a strong sign that tampering is going on.

(2,546 posts)REAL AND ONLY MEANINGFUL TOTALS OF PLEDGED DELEGATES AT THIS POINT :
BERNIE 1442 vs HILLARY 1702
DIFFERENCE = 260 NEEDED TO WIN = 2383
CNN keeps conflating Pledged vote totals with Super Totals in order to confuse the public into thinking that Hillary is... almost there...
When... She clearly... IS NOT! Fucking Oligarchy Controlled Corporatist PROPAGANDA!
