If Romney wins

Progressives are in for a hard 8 years. We already know how things are going to play out:

1. Next year around this time the economy will be doing very well because of Obama, but Romney will get all the credit.

2. Romney's approval rating will be sky high and he will be able to do whatever he wants and the weak Dems in congress will be submissive.

3. By time the 2014 mid terms Romney will be endorsing repugs and the dumb American public will vote them in.

4. Romney will get to appoint at least two SCOTUS justices and probably one that will tilt it to 6-3 in favor of the conservatives.

5. A war will be started and everyone will be wrapped in patriotism and anyone questioning Romney will be treated as anti-American.

6. Romney will win in 2016

7. By 2020 this country will be messed up again and people will realize that Repugs suck and vote in a Dem

8. But by that time the damage will be already done and the cycle will repeat itself

...let's stay focused on what needs to be done, which is getting out the vote in the swing states (most notably OH, WI, NV, and VA). I'm confident if we get all of our supporters to the polls, we will have enough votes to win the swing states and put us over the 270 electoral vote mark.

It will be a repeat of what happened in Britain.

Gordon Brown (Labor Party) had it right - Spend your way out of recession, stimulate the economy when it needs stimulus, when the economy takes off then you start repaying the debt.

The Conservatives came to power making the debt the big issue and with their austerity measures sucking money out of a weak economy force Britain into a predictable double dip recession.

The same thing would happen here. The economy would nose dive and they would blame Obama.
