What Happened at the Nevada “Democratic” State Convention?

What Happened at the Nevada “Democratic” State Convention?

Greetings, my friends! As many of you have probably heard, “tensions were high” at the state convention in Nevada yesterday. Now, because CNN, MSNBC, and the rest of the usual “news” outlets seem to have forgotten to mention it, I’ve decided (as usual) to step in to inform you all and clean up the mess of misinformation.

You see, all of this happened because there has been a bit of a misunderstanding between the “Democratic” Party and ourselves — they’ve been laboring under the impression that we — you know, the people — are supposed to subserviently accept what the democratic party officials have decreed but — meanwhile — we (having been misled by the word “democratic” being in their name) thought that we would get to have a say in choosing our nominee for president. As you can guess, this embarrassing miscommunication has led to a lot of confusion — but worry not! I believe that we can clear all of that up in this article by taking a look at a few numbers. First up, let’s talk about…

1,693 and 1,662

Those were the numbers of both Clinton and Sanders delegates that were at the state “democratic” convention in Nevada on Saturday — well, actually, those are the numbers of delegates that were allowed to participate in the convention on Saturday — and, as you can see:

1,693 – 1,662 = 31

Clinton had 31 more delegates inside of the convention — which wasn’t very good news for the Sanders supporters yesterday. But wait! There’s another number that you should probably know about and that is…

the convention center because unstable and dangerous and it was best that people left. It was the BS cheerleaders own actions then ended up shutting everything down.

Here's what apparently happened.

The Clinton Camp was so furious that Sanders won NV at the Nevada County Conventions level that they decided to devise a way to erase the delegate count lead he earned at that level. To do that, they changed the Nevada Democratic State Convention rules to make the results of all the Nevada Democratic County Conventions Null and Void.

The effect was as if the County Conventions had never existed.

That's right--all the work, time, expense, passion, and enthusiasm of the delegates, both Sanders' and Clinton's by the way, who showed up and followed the rules was simply crushed into dust.

This appears to be unprecedented. Unprecedented not just in the Nevada State Democratic Party, but in all democratic Partys anywhere in the entire US.

While what happened was unbridled, in-your-face corruption at the Nevada State level, the strategy was undoubtedly provided by top Democrats at the National level.

Why would anyone ever want to participate in a Democratic Party Convention again, at any level, knowing now that rightfully earned results can simply be overturned, at the request of one of the candidates, by a change in the rules?

Because the convention started at 930am before everyone got inside. A voice vote was cast without everyone present on a key rules change that essentially negated the results of the county conventions. The motion was passed even though by all accounts the two camps were nearly even. When you have two groups of 1500 people shouting 'yay' or 'nay' I don't know how you tell which one is louder, but hey, one of Hillary's surrogates was in charge so of course the vote went her way. Then the convention went on for another 13 hours as Bernie's people demanded a recount of the delegates but were denied repeatedly. Keep in mind, the initial counts were done before everybody had gotten inside. Then the coup de gras when Boxer ignored a motion on the floor to perform a recount, created and seconded her own motion, didn't listen for 'yays' or 'nays', then passed her motion and immediately adjourned the convention. The whole thing was a cluster by design.

But don't take my word for it. Read the dozens of testimonials floating around right now, or watch the dozens of videos. It's there for all to see.

It is a rule that a voice vote can be called to negate the 2nd round Caucus totals BEFORE the entire delegation is seated????

You will have to show me that one. It certainly isn't very "democratic", but our party has strayed FAR from that "democratic" thing.

Delegates were allowed to get their credentials until 10am. Quorum is 40% of registered delegates.
