Do Bernie supporters really think anyone who joined in the last 6 months is a Brock plant?

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by cyberswede (a host of the 2016 Postmortem forum).

I get a lot of times where people just respond to a post of mine by pointing out when I joined and calling me a Brock troll. And maybe it's just rookie-hazing, a little childish, but this isn't the only place where certain kinds of people feel better about themselves by trying to bully noobs. That's an internet-wide thing.

But do Bernie supporters here actually believe that? Because if so, it's a pretty serious level of delusion.

See, that's how you tell.

New poster supports Sanders and the most egregious behavior by his campaign and supporters= authentic.
New poster supports Clinton in any capacity= Brock plant.

It's that simple and childish.

And that goes for Hillary posters who say the same about all newbie Sanders supporters.

Join the discussion of events and policies that arise over the next year. Thre is always a side to take and something to argue about here.

That will prove them wrong.

I think there is a high level of distrust of outsiders, and until you accrue 5000 or so posts the accusation of being a troll is not unusual when people's ideals are opposed.

Thus far my experience has been that proof of anything they don't like is waved off or justified with twisted logic.

that confirms one's preconceptions.

People do not examine any form of evidence that appears to confirm what they already believe.

Few people will pull their own beliefs and examine them.

It's incredibly hard to admit being wrong, especially if youve really been vocal.
Apparently it lowers dopamine in the brain and the effect is just the same as if someone punched them.
Its important to get to the truth examine your beliefs and change them when necessary and not let your emotions sway you, and that can be so difficult.

Ive also been told I have a blog and Ive been welcomed back even though I had never posted here before.

everyone is out to get them , everything is a conspiracy or rigged.

The first time I believe I've ever agreed with Meghan McCain on anything, she is right, they act like a cult...I'll wager that will help Progressives get elected.

It actually use to be a hard rule on DU that such hazing would get your post deleted. That's no longer true, so people who do it tend to get away with it now.

I've always thought that such behavior was unacceptable. I still vote on juries to hide posts that attack anyone who is just new here and for that reason. Many DU jurors, however, don't vote that way, so hazings stand.

It's unfortunate, but may be corrected here before long, I hope, when the admins make a bunch of changes in how the site runs.
