Networks CANCEL Exit Polls In Remaining Primaries! Welcome to The Wild Wild West!!!

I guess that includes California...

Is there ANYONE out there who can come up with a reasonable rationale as to WHY Canceling Exit Polls would make ANY sense whatsoever... IF you wanted to have some idea WHAT was going on with the Election PROCESS?. The U.S relies on exit polling, especially in other countries where we may have to send some military to ensure a fair election. This....is because the 12pt deviation already, is becoming known to happen already in a few states... A 2pt variation in a foreign country signals trouble in foreign elections... and we're seeing 12 pointers? WTF?

So as far as the remaining states go... No Exit polling means that there will be NO COMPARATIVE AVAILABLE TO KEEP THE "COUNTING" HONEST!

Why did the democratic party agree to allow Bernie to run on their ticket? It sure seems it was in 'bad faith'. He owes them nothing. An election and process which repeatedly and consistently has been open to question on a near epic scale (Certainly for a Primary... the "inconsistencies" have been not surprisingly... CONSISTENT...(with all of the vagaries favoring just ONE CANDIDATE!) The public trust in our election process will be more than tainted because of this paradigm.

No Exit polls! So... we just will have to trust... WITHOUT ... THE VERIFY?

Canceling exit polling? It may be a good idea for Hillary (as the vagaries seem to ALWAYS favor her), but when it comes to DEMOCRACY.. NOT SO MUCH...

No one should expect the current media to be a watchdog of anything other than their bottom line.

Believing that exit polls were ever some kind of check-and-balance is misguided, at best. They were nothing but a tool for the networks to declare races early and get a jump on the competition.

"Canceling exit polling? It may be a good idea for Hillary (as the vagaries seem to ALWAYS favor her), but when it comes to DEMOCRACY.. NOT SO MUCH."

What do the corporations running exit polls have to do with democracy? Exit polls were always their baby and they existed solely to get a jump on the competition, not exist as some kind of check-and-balance. If they were publicly financed and administered, you might have an argument, but they're not.

Given your contention and a few others here you just want to say that 18 percent of the people should be just told to shut up! The fact is, neither Hillary OR Bernie will have the required PLEDGED DELEGATES to win the nomination. Supers come in ONLY at the convention. There WILL BE A competitive process for those Super Delegates who... if they are of sound mind and want the Democratic Party to win the Presidency... Will have to acknowledge the realities of Hillary vs Bernie as the nominee of the party vs Donald Trump. They will have to accept accountability for the consequences of their decision.

So yes these 9 upcoming primaries do matter... The INTEGRITY of these elections ... DOES MATTER... So YES EXIT POLLS DO FUCKING MATTER!

It's a way for competing news networks to get the drop on each other. I think the primary elections are being stolen about as much as I think hordes of undocumented foreigners are voting illegally. All the available evidence suggest that Sanders is simply losing rather than having anything stolen from him.

be bothered to care about Bill Clinton's deregulation of the media back in 1996. It was a coup of epic proportions to end up with 6 mega corporations owning 90% or more of the media in this country. Six corporations with the power to create the perceived reality of a country the size of the United States? Epic. Maybe there are too many people in this country who find democracy to be just too exhausting and anxiety producing and, thus, would prefer that the hyper rich take care of everything. I mean, those rich people must know what they're doing, right? I mean, getting that rich must mean that you're smarter than everyone else, right? Maybe too many people actually don't mind living in the Matrix. Someone on here posted that Bernie's "legacy" will be "sad and pathetic." No, what's sad and pathetic is that the U.S. has become what it has - the biggest for-profit corporation that the world has ever known, spreading death and destruction around the world and poverty and helplessness at home with the single goal of filling its (privatized) coffers with filthy lucre. That's sad and pathetic. The DNC has now stopped doing exit polls, the corporate media has stopped doing exit polls, and the DNC is hosting the national convention with Comcast. When is the UN going to step in and start monitoring our elections? Just pathetic.
