Sanders Launches Microsite on Historic Fundraising, Out-raised Clinton in April

Press Release

Sanders Launches Microsite on Historic Fundraising, Out-raised Clinton in April
May 20, 2016

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders’ campaign on Friday launched a microsite to mark the senator’s historic fundraising effort, which includes raising money from more than 7.6 million contributions with more than 2.4 million individual donors.

Sanders’ campaign on Friday will also file a report with the Federal Election Commission showing it raised more than $212 million since the start of the campaign. Sanders raised more than $26.9 million in April, out-raising Secretary Clinton for the fourth month in a row.

The average contribution to the senator’s campaign is around $27. Only 5 percent of Sanders’ total came from donors who have given the maximum $2,700 an individual may donate to a candidate. Almost half of Hillary Clinton’s primary campaign committee money comes from maxed-out donors.

deserve to live while those in poverty don't? I am guessing. What's your answer. I know if we give our money to the Banks and the Clinton Family, they will look out for us. Maybe throw us some "cake".

It's really not complicated. The Wealthy Capitalists steal the money from the 99% for their profits and you seem to revere them for it. 2.5 million American children are homeless and Goldman-Sachs doesn't care. Why side with them and not help the children? Is it some kind of admiration of the rich? Maybe envy?

... money doesn't buy votes or delegates. Those are what determines a nominee, and Bernie has fallen short in both categories.

Is he planning to use the money to buy the necessary super-delegates to give him the nomination - or does he just plan to dazzle them with his loyalty to their party?

Money...

And not like Boener passing out checks on the house floor... It's not the handing out of cash (although in some cases it might be)..

No, not at all...in this case it's more like the siphoning off of cash...like a junkie looking for some smack...these congresscritters spend almost half their days fundraising..."gotta fight that repug whackjob that wants to make an expectant mother eat a live baby before she can have an abortion...he's bankrolled by the Kochs and the Chamber of Commerce..I sure as hell better keep these channels open to the Clinton Machine...better not make them angry...I may need them this Fall"

I'm sure this Clinton Machine makes Frank Capra's "Taylor Machine"...look like childs play.

If I knew...u know it would be front page news...u'd know too.

All I've got is Rep. Gabbard that stepped down from the DNC & endorsed Bernie... I can't remember who asked her...Chuck Todd or Mrs. Greenspan...after she stepped down they asked her something like "you know you just made it very hard for you in the future?" ...she said something like "yes, I was warned by a few people"

C'mon Nance, you didn't wake up yesterday...you know how things are...how they really are.

The Clintons ran DC for about 6 yrs when Bill was CIC...they know where any $ comes from and where it's earmarked to go...Hillary would be President right now if it wasn't for Teddy Kennedy! Kennedy, i believe, was won over by Obama's oratory skills...reminded him of his late brothers... I believe...he stepped up and backed Obama over Hillary...and the rest is history...Kennedy gave other Supers the cover to back Obama...and make it a race.

Sadly, there are no Kennedys now.
Maybe even more frightening, The Clintons have become the Kennedys of the Party now.

And I asked for facts, not your ramblings about someone who "said something like" she was "warned by a few people".

Facts to back up your assertions - you know what that means, don't you?

"It's not the handing out of cash (although in some cases it might be).. No, not at all...in this case it's more like the siphoning off of cash."

So name the people who have been "bought" by the Clintons, with details of how much money changed hands and how it was done.

The Bernie contingent here have thrown around the "bought-and-paid-for" meme every time someone in office has endorsed Hillary - and yet when challenged, they can't come up with a scintilla of proof.

Nice deflection trying to change the discussion to people who have allegedly been "warned" or "threatened" - but let's stay on topic, shall we?

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2013/01/22/hillary-clintons-campaign-debt-finally-paid-off/

Washington (CNN) – More than four years after suspending her 2008 presidential bid, now-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has finally paid off her campaign debt.

Clinton's presidential organization spent the final day of 2012 paying down the remaining debt, according to documents filed with the Federal Election Commission late Tuesday.

Clinton's committee spent part of New Year's Eve making three payments totaling $73,000 to the Democratic polling firm of Penn and Schoen. The campaign had once owed the firm $5.4 million, but had brought their account current by the time the clock struck midnight on December 31.

Clinton's debt reached its peak in June 2008 shortly after the former New York senator suspended her campaign. At that point, her presidential committee owed $12 million to almost 500 creditors and $13.2 million to the candidate herself, who dipped into her personal funds to help finance her campaign.

Well there are two sides to this class war and Hillary Clinton with her $150,000,000 is clearly on the side of the Wealthy 1%. I would hope all Democrats would side with those struggling among us, but nope apparently some revere the wealthy. Maybe you can tell us why.

So why doesn't he get more votes? Election fraud and voter disenfranchisement. The Wealthy can and do buy elections. Is that why you side with them over the middle and working classes fighting for our lives? Well some want to be on the winning side even if they are corrupt. Just like Jr High when some kids hid behind the biggest bullies. The Oligarchy is the biggest bully and some would rather hid behind them and watch them cause more poverty and more hardships for those among us struggling.

IMO it's immoral to side with the rich and powerful and turn backs on those suffering and gloating when the rich dominate.

I can no longer stand the gloating of those siding with the Rich and Powerful. Bob-bye
