Sat May 28, 2016, 07:59 AM

I would like to extend my apologies to George W. Bush, Dick Cheney and their administration.

For years I labored under the assumption they were corrupt and nefarious. I was certain they had exploited, if not outright violated, election laws. I was convinced gross negligence had substantially contributed to 9/11. I was unwavering in my belief corporations profited illegally from wars, wars which were crimes in their own right. I believed law after law was brushed aside whenever it was deemed inconvenient, even laws designed to safeguard the security of the very nation they were exploiting.

I see now how wrong I was and for that I offer my deepest and sincerest apologies.

Obviously, since there never was or will be an indictment arising from any of their actions, let alone a conviction, this speaks to their personal innocence and who am I to impugn their innocence in the absence of a finding of guilt?

Bush and Cheney, by reasoning of the most astute minds in our midst, are innocent.

<== apparently I neglected to include this in the first draft

2. i hope you arent serious

Do you honestly believe that in America a rich person can be persecuted for anything? Do you realize that the invasion of Iraq under false pretenses was in strict violation of the Nuremberg Treaty condemning actions such as theirs as being criminal acts/ The Supreme court declared that any treat signed by the US is the law of the land. Why arent they being persecuted? Incidentally, you do realize that both Cheney and Bush, both such gung ho heroes both avoided the draft, one by Cheney lying about his health and Bush simply going AWOL. Oh and to finalize, removing Saddam (who we put in power( opened the door to ISIS, which sadam would never have allowed.
Bush is to stupid it is quite beyond belief. I used to believe in evolution, but after experiencing Bush I am no longer a believer.
As for 9/11 Bush was warned something was going to happen and did nothing. When he was told the planes were coming in he simply sat there and allowed it to happen. Incidentally the pilots were not iraquis, they were saudis. But of course we cannot go after them since they have been bush buddies for years and raked in billions with oil.

62. The only one contributing to Trump's victory is the Hillary camp.

She's providing all the ammunition for her own firing squad. She's is the sole reason any of this is even an issue. Her political incompetence is the reason this 4 year old story dragged out to metastasize going into the GE. She is the establishment icon in an anti-establishment election cycle (which is why Trump has as much momentum as he does).

She is going to get hammered in the GE and you won't be able to rely on forum rules to keep the rest of the US electorate from discussing the matter. And it's not like she or her supporters have conjured a cogent answer to any of the allegations that hasn't later been shown to be a lie.

You said that only HRC is contributing to a Trump victory. If you don't vote for her, then you are too. (See basic logic.)

Again, I'm not sure why you bring up speech suppression. There are tons of places on the internet that are dedicated to aiding and abetting Trump. This just isn't one of them. You have the right to speak, but you don't have the right to be taken seriously by people who would not like to see Trump in office. Enjoy your stay.

You have some insane over inflated importance of DU and your posts. In 2008 there was 126 million people who voted. How many of them do think read DU? Only reason you don't want the truth about Hillary posted is because you like people in GOP just want a echo chamber. You just can't deal with issues that people in general are shitty even a democrat can be a bad person. Went through this shit in 2014 with Mayor of Charlotte all the zealots in the local DNC here thought mayor was such a great guy. Even after AG brought charges against him for taking a bribe on camera from a FBI sting operation, idiot zealots argued he never did it.

17 days until DU becomes NU (Neocon Underground). I can hardly wait.

In 17 days whistle blowers that expose secrets deserve long prison sentences, but powerful Democrats (sic), for selfish reasons, that expose even more sensitive secrets are not even worthy of condemnation.

In 17 days Henry Kissinger, the world's worst living mass-murderer, will be worthy of friendship and a source of advice.

In 17 days a major proponent of the world's worst crime this century, the Iraq War, will make a great candidate for US President.

In 17 days, murdered Palestinian children (by Israel) in the Gaza Strip will be condemned as propaganda tools that are allegedly being used against Israel.

In 17 days murdering leaders and destroying foreign nations will bring such joy and merriment:

Welcome to Hillary's nightmare

Until November comes around and our candidate mired in scandals looses to the most vile of types of politicians since Hitler. But then! We will be called out for not supporting our flawed candidate, rather then to take a good look in the mirror and saying we were wrong.

44. Second paragraph says SARACSM. Funny! Letting one set of criminals off doesn't make letting others

off right. Besides, IF WE KNEW BEFOREHAND what they were really like and if the Republicans knew what was in store for this country would they have gotten into office? If you look at everything that has happened during the Primaries, the Wall Street Speeches, The Clinton Foundation, the hawkish violent approach to National Security, the unimpressive record as Senator in N.Y., and the e-mail disaster tells us plenty about what is to come wit Hillary Clinton.

Making the decision to support Hillary Clinton, eyes open, being elected President of the United States will fall directly on the heads of her supporters. They will have to carry around the repercussions of that decision for the rest of their lives. The excuse is that Trump is worse is bullshit because there is a third choice Bernie Sanders. So there is ABSOLUTELY no good reason.

54. Legally they are

They have not been accused of any particular crimes and had none proved against them. Just not likely their politics does not make other people "criminals."

It's just not as easy to prove a legal case as people want to think, especially when they are highly partisan.
