Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders arrives at halftime

Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders arrives at halftime
By Joe Garofoli
http://www.sfgate.com/warriors/article/Presidential-candidate-Bernie-Sanders-arrives-at-7953718.php

Did the Warriors experience a “Bernie bump?” And did their historic comeback preview California’s June 7 presidential primary? An against-all-odds presidential campaign collided with an against-all-odds NBA comeback Monday when Sen. Bernie Sanders — escorted by a police motorcade and the Secret Service — took 10 minutes to roar from his rally in Oakland on Monday to Game 7 at Oracle Arena. He was following the game in his car, and knew the Warriors were down at the half.

As he got out of his car, Sanders said to staffers nearby, “Let's turn this thing around.”
He’s hoping for a massive comeback when California voters cast ballots in a week. A year ago, Sanders trailed Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton by 63 points. In a Public Policy Institute of California survey last week, he was in a statistical dead heat....

Oh wait, we have not voted yet.

I admit, I will pretend to vote. I don't expect it anymore to reflect my intent...oh hail the central tabulator but you are correct, none of them has voted, since the primary has not been held. To be actually very technically correct at least one already did though...mail in ballot

I'm just going by all of those other photos of "smiling faces" at Bernie events - the ones that never translated into votes.

And yet the Bernie rally posts get posted here as being somehow meaningful - as though no one has noticed the pattern.

I'm particularly struck by Bernie's face and the great joy and energy of his whole demeanor. The woman he is greeting, or who is greeting him, also has remarkable joy in her face and posture, and all the others look very happy--except for the guy with the badge on--probably a bodyguard or Secret Service--who looks watchful. Everybody else is having a ball!

I've lost count of the number of rallies Bernie has traveled to and spoken to, over this weekend, all over California, plus media interviews and appearances, and attendance at the Memorial Day event at the Presidio! And look at him! My God, the man is blest with the most astounding commitment and good spirits!

"Let's turn this thing around!"

Yes! YES!! Let's turn this country around! Let's turn this democracy around! Let's turn global warming around! Let's become the country and the democracy and the people we dream of in our highest thoughts! Let's BE the people that Bernie Sanders believes in! Let's BE the country he believes in! Let's BE the democracy he believes in! Because look at that man!

Ageism is a form of discrimination and prejudice, particularly experienced by seniors. Most seniors are mentally and physically active regardless of age with a great deal to contribute. However, societal norms marginalize seniors, treat them with disrespect, make them feel unwelcome and otherwise generalize as if they were all the same.

I was just reading a few posts over in the Hillary forum (which I'm blocked from because Cha didn't like one of my comments) and it seems to me that some to most of Hillary fans aren't much different from some or most of Bernie fans when it comes to being snarky or disrespectful.

Let's be honest with each other: we want Bernie to win and you want Hillary to win. The big difference I think is that before Bernie announced he was running, Hillary fans figured it was no contest to the nomination. It was her turn, it was her time. What Democrat would dare oppose her? In steps Bernie to challenge Hillary. How dare he? He's not even a real Democrat! She'll still get the nomination but I think Bernie may have pointed out some of her flaws and made her spend more money during the primary that she was hoping to use in the GE.

Anyways, no matter who started it or said this or did that, for Hillary fans who speak of avoiding the GD-P forum to come over once in a while anyway just to be flippant for no reason other than to be dirt-stirring sore winners kind of chaps my ass a bit.

The claims that he's the candidate of the people isn't born out by the pledged delegates or the total popular vote in the primaries or by the fact that Sanders does so poorly in primaries which have high turnout compared to the low turnout caucuses he does so well in.
