Howard Dean says Elizabeth Warren is too old to be Clinton's running mate
Eliza Collins
USA Today
Reporter Andrea Mitchell said that Warren was one of the strongest critics of Donald Trump, and pointed out that a Clinton-Warren ticket would send a strong signal to the partys progressive side.
Certainly somebody like that would be very helpful, Dean said about the the Massachusetts senator.
But then he added, I strongly believe we ought to have somebody under 50 on the ticket. I think the Baby Boomers have run this country for too long. We stepped away from that with Barrack Obama; we dont normally go back a generation. Were gonna have two Baby Boomers running for president on the Democratic and the Republican side. So I would like somebody very much who is not in the Baby Boomer generation. Who is in this new upcoming generation the younger the better.
Dean cautioned this wasnt about Warren herself, ideologically I think Elizabeth Warren is terrific. But, he said, there are lots of well-qualified younger options for vice president.

If Elizabeth Warren had any interest in the executive branch, she'd be the nominee by now. Regardless of the age thing, the Democratic party is keeping outliers like Sanders and Warren at arms length. I don't expect a VP offer would be extended.

Remember how long the republicans wheeled out the WWII generation?
That's not a model democrats should follow. We need to promote younger politicians. I'm pretty sure they exist.

I personally think the two woman ticket would be kick ass. But, I think the age matters. Also, Warren doesn't want it. The woman is not coy and she said no. I have learned to trust her no.
